Abstract
Construction workers frequently perform physically demanding tasks in non-ergonomic postures, such as bending, lifting heavy loads, and repetitive movements. These conditions increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), negatively impacting health and productivity. Addressing ergonomic risks is essential to ensure worker safety and project efficiency. This study evaluates ergonomic risks in construction activities using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) methods. Observations were made on tasks including brick lifting, concrete pouring, rebar work, concrete casting, and manual cement mixing. Postures were analyzed to assess risk levels and recommend improvements. he results indicate that manual cement mixing poses the highest risk score due to the bent posture and repetitive movements involved, with an NBM value exceeding 72 and RULA and REBA scores greater than 8. The use of supporting equipment, such as a concrete mixer, is recommended to reduce the physical workload. Other tasks were found to present moderate to high levels of risk. Recommendations include posture training, ergonomic equipment, and workplace adjustments. Implementing these measures can reduce the risk of injury and enhance overall productivity on construction sites. . Keywords: Ergonomics, Body Posture, RULA, REBA, Musculoskeletal disorders, Work productivity Pekerja konstruksi sering melakukan aktivitas fisik berat dengan postur tubuh yang tidak ergonomis, seperti membungkuk, mengangkat beban berat, dan gerakan berulang. Kondisi ini meningkatkan risiko gangguan otot dan rangka (MSDs) yang berdampak pada kesehatan dan menurunkan produktivitas. Oleh karena itu, identifikasi dan pengendalian risiko ergonomis sangat penting untuk menjaga keselamatan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat risiko ergonomis pada aktivitas konstruksi menggunakan metode RULA dan REBA. Observasi dilakukan pada pekerjaan seperti pengangkatan bata, pengecoran beton, pembesian, menuangkan semen, dan pengadukan semen manual. Postur tubuh pekerja dianalisis untuk menentukan tingkat risiko dan menyusun rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pengadukan semen manual memiliki skor risiko tertinggi karena postur membungkuk dan gerakan berulang dengan hasil nilai NBM >72, RULA dan REBA >8. Penggunaan alat bantu seperti molen disarankan untuk mengurangi beban fisik. Pekerjaan lain menunjukkan tingkat risiko sedang hingga tinggi. Rekomendasi meliputi pelatihan postur kerja yang benar, penggunaan alat bantu ergonomis, dan penyesuaian lingkungan kerja. Implementasi perbaikan ini diharapkan dapat menurunkan risiko cedera muskuloskeletal dan meningkatkan efisiensi serta produktivitas kerja di proyek konstruksi.
