Abstract
Teknologi informasi dapat mempermudah pekerjaan manusia, khususnya dalam komunikasi yang menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien melalui internet, smartphone, dan aplikasi media sosial seperti WhatsApp. Namun, kemajuan teknologi komunikasi ini memunculkan dampak negatif, seperti meningkatnya kejahatan dunia maya. Sesuai UU ITE media sosial memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai alat bukti dalam kasus pidana sehingga perlu untuk dilakukan bagaimana cara mendapatkan data yang dapat dipresentasikan terkait penggunaan fitur gambar dan lokasi pada aplikasi WhatsApp dan bagaimana menganalisis data iOS dengan metode National Intitute of Justice. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan data di direktori instan messenger aplikasi WhatsApp dan mendapatkan jejak informasi dari penggunaan fitur messenger maupun gambar dan lokasi pada WhatsApp dengan melakukan eksperimen dan analisis forensik. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis forensik digital menggunakan metode National Institute of Justice (NIJ) dengan perangkat berbasis iOS. Dengan melakukan perancangan skenario lalu melakukan pencarian barang bukti digital terhadap objek analisis dengan metode NIJ dan melakukan proses jailbreak pada perangkat. Pada penelitian ini berhasil mengakses bukti digital dari aplikasi WhatsApp pada iOS. Data mencangkup nomor telepon pelaku dan korban, catatan waktu pesan, dan gambar dari file asli yang disimpan di lokasi spesifik. Jejak informasi pada aplikasi yang di hapus tidak dapat di akusisi Information technology can make human work easier, especially in communication that becomes more effective and efficient through the internet, smartphones, and social media applications such as WhatsApp. However, the advancement of this communication technology has negative impacts, such as increasing cybercrime. According to the ITE Law, social media has the potential to be used as evidence in criminal cases, so it is necessary to find out how to get data that can be presented related to the use of image and location features on the WhatsApp application and how to analyze iOS data using the National Institute of Justice method. This study aims to find data in the WhatsApp application's instant messenger directory and obtain traces of information from the use of messenger features as well as images and locations on WhatsApp by conducting experiments and forensic analysis. This study focuses on digital forensic analysis using the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) method with iOS-based devices. By designing scenarios and then searching for digital evidence against the object of analysis using the NIJ method and carrying out the jailbreak process on the device. In this study, digital evidence from the WhatsApp application on iOS was successfully accessed. The data includes the perpetrator's and victim's telephone numbers, message timestamps, and images from the original files stored in specific locations. Traces of information on deleted applications cannot be acquired.
