Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between emotional regulation and resilience in adolescents who experience parental divorce in South Jakarta. Divorce is the breaking of the bond between husband and wife, the impact of this divorce makes adolescents experience several problems, one of which is regarding emotional regulation which is a factor in forming resilience. Measurement of the Emotional Regulation variable using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) developed by Gross & John (2003) and adapted into Indonesian by Radde et al (2021) and the Resilience variable using the Resilience Quotient (RQ) developed by Reivich & Shatte (2002) and has been translated into Indonesian by Melani Aprianti and Elsa Juliana (2021). The results of the study prove that there is a relationship between Emotional Regulation and Resilience with a high and positive correlation between variables so that it can be interpreted that the higher the Emotional Regulation, the higher the Resilience. Conversely, the lower the Emotional Regulation, the lower the Resilience. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada Hubungan antara Regulasi Emosi dengan Resiliensi pada Remaja yang Mengalami Perceraian Orang Tua di Jakarta Selatan. Perceraian merupakan putusnya ikatan suami istri, dampak dari perceraian ini membuat remaja mengalami beberapa masalah salah satunya mengenai regulasi emosi yang menjadi faktor pembentuk resiliensi. Pengukuran variabel Regulasi Emosi menggunakan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) dikembangkan oleh Gross & John (2003) dan diadaptasi kedalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Radde et al (2021) dan variable Resiliensi menggunakan Resilience Quotient (RQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Reivich & Shatte (2002) dan sudah di terjemahkan ke Bahasa Indonesia oleh Melani Aprianti dan Elsa Juliana (2021). Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara Regulasi Emosi dan Resiliensi dengan korelasi antar variabel tinggi dan bersifat positif sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa semakin tinggi Regulasi Emosi maka semakin tinggi pula Resiliensinya. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah Regulasi Emosi maka semakin rendah pula Resiliensinya.
