Abstract
The literacy culture among children in Indonesia is still relatively low. Various studies and surveys show that children's interest in reading is still low. The lack of interest in reading in children can be influenced by various factors, both from within the child and from outside the child. The two main factors that are often found are lack of access to reading materials and a less conducive learning environment. Although the library is the main place to improve literacy culture, there are many other alternatives that can be utilized, one of which is the activity hub. Activity hubs can be an alternative solution to improve literacy culture in children besides libraries. The purpose of the activity hub is an innovative solution to develop children's creative potential from an early age. By providing a variety of interesting and fun activities, activity hubs can help children to learn in a more effective and optimal way. The design method used is design thinking with DK.Ching's design principle approach. Interior design design involves early childhood to do activities according to their interests and talents. The design of children's library and activity hub in Bintaro is expected to provide direct benefits for children. The available facilities are designed to explore their creative potential, improve literacy culture, and develop their talent interests. Keywords: Children's Library, Activity Hub, Literacy Culture, Creativity Budaya literasi pada anak-anak di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Banyak penelitian dan survei menunjukkan bahwasanya minat baca anak-anak masih rendah. Kurangnya minat baca pada anak-anak bisa dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, baik yang berasal dari dalam diri anak dan dari luar diri anak. Dua faktor utama yang sering ditemukan ialah kurangnya akses terhadap bahan bacaan dan lingkungan belajar yang kurang kondusif. Meskipun perpustakaan ialah lokasi utama untuk menaikkan budaya literasi, ada banyak alternatif lain yang bisa dimanfaatkan, salah satunya ialah activity hub. Activity hub bisa menjadi solusi alternatif untuk menaikkan budaya literasi pada anak-anak selain perpustakaan. Tujuan dari activity hub ialah solusi inovatif untuk mengembangkan potensi kreativitas anak sejak usia dini. Dengan mengadakan banyak kegiatan yang menarik dan menyenangkan, activity hub bisa menolong anak-anak untuk belajar dengan cara yang lebih dampaktif dan optimal. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yakni design thingking dengan pendekatan prinsip desain DK.Ching. Perancangan desain interior melibatkan anak usia dini untuk berkegiatan sesuai dengan minat dan bakat masing-masing. Perancangan perpustakaan anak dan activity hub di Bintaro ini diharapkan bisa memberi manfaat langsung bagi anak-anak. Fasilitas yang tersedia dirancang untuk menggali potensi kreativitas mereka, menaikkan budaya literasi, dan mengembangkan minat bakat mereka.
