Abstract

The rapid development of cities along with the growth and increase in population have encouraged high land use for commercial opportunities, service trade and offices. This phenomenon also applies to South Tangerang which is experiencing an increase in the need for vertical housing in response to the problem of the increasing number of Jakarta residents migrating to the area. This discussion focuses on the planning and design of apartments in South Tangerang, especially in the Bintaro area, to meet the residential needs of middle class and business people. A sustainable architecture approach was adopted to address the housing-related challenges and maximize land use in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Keywords: Apartment, Design concept, Sustainable architecture. Perkembangan kota yang pesat seiring dengan pertumbuhan dan pertambahan penduduk telah mendorong tingginya penggunaan lahan untuk peluang usaha, perdagangan jasa, dan perkantoran. Fenomena ini juga berlaku di Tangerang Selatan, yang mengalami peningkatan kebutuhan akan hunian vertikal sebagai respons terhadap permasalahan melubernya jumlah penduduk Jakarta yang berimigrasi ke wilayah tersebut. Pembahasan ini berfokus pada perencanaan dan perancangan apartemen di Tangerang Selatan, khususnya di Kawasan Bintaro, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hunian bagi masyarakat menengah dan pelaku bisnis. Pendekatan arsitektur berkelanjutan (sustainable architecture) diadopsi untuk menangani tantangan terkait perumahan serta memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan secara efisien dan ramah lingkungan.
