Abstract
The number of physical changes in the shophouse unit in the cbd ciledug area results in incompatibility with the face of the building. As a result of incompatibilities, the facade of the building eliminates the identity of the building in the area. The study aims to determine the factors that cause changes that occur in the shophouse. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with observation and questionnaire interview approach. In the research conducted by observation and interview, it was found that the factors causing the facade changes occurred. The factor that dominates changes is because of the security and identity of the company that occupies the shop. Banyaknya perubahan fisik pada unit ruko di kawasan cbd ciledug mengakibatkan ketidakserasian tampak muka bangunan. Akibat ketidakserasian tampak muka bangunan menghilangkan identitas bangunan dikawasan tersebut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor faktor penyebab perubahan yang terjadi pada ruko tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan observasi dan wawancara kuisioner. Pada penelitian yang dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara ini didapatkan faktor faktor penyebab perubahan fasad yang terjadi. Faktor yang mendominan terjadi perubahan adalah karena dari segi keamanan dan identitas dari perusahaan yang menempati ruko tersebut.
