Abstract

CV. Briana Toys, a small industry established since 2010, is engaged in the production of children's toys, especially dolls. The current production layout is less efficient, causing an increase in displacement distance. The production layout of CV Briana Toys still needs improvement because the distance between work stations is quite far apart. With a production area of 30 x 10 m², this study aims to redesign the factory layout using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) Method and compare the distance of material movement before and after improvement. One of the main changes was the relocation of the workstation area from two floors with an operating area of 300 m² to one floor with a total operating area of 210,345 m². In addition, the material transfer distance in the initial layout was 44.6 meters, while in the proposed layout it was reduced to 19 meters. The total distance traveled in the initial layout was 471.3 meters, while in the proposed layout it decreased drastically to 179 meters. These changes indicate a significant improvement in efficiency in material flow, where the total travel distance is substantially reduced, reflecting a more optimized and efficient proposed layout. Keywords: Layout, Systematic Layout Planning (SLP), moving distance CV. Briana Toys, sebuah industri kecil yang berdiri sejak 2010, bergerak di bidang produksi mainan anak-anak, khususnya boneka. Tata letak produksi saat ini kurang efisien, menyebabkan peningkatan jarak perpindahan. Tata letak produksi CV. Briana Toys masih perlu perbaikan karena jarak antar stasiun kerja cukup berjauhan. Dengan luas pabrik 30 x 10 m², penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang tata letak pabrik menggunakan Metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) dan membandingkan jarak perpindahan material sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan. Salah satu perubahan utama adalah pemindahan area stasiun kerja dari dua lantai dengan luas area operasi 276 m² menjadi satu lantai dengan total luas area operasi 350 m². Selain itu, jarak perpindahan material dalam tata letak awal adalah 44,6 meter, sementara dalam tata letak usulan berkurang menjadi 19 meter. Total jarak tempuh dalam tata letak awal adalah 471,3 meter, sedangkan dalam tata letak usulan menurun drastis menjadi 179 meter. Perubahan ini menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi yang signifikan dalam aliran material, di mana total jarak tempuh berkurang secara substansial, mencerminkan tata letak usulan yang lebih optimal dan efisien.
