Abstract

The development of technology in the current era of globalization is very fast. Information technology is very useful to support all activities in every line of life. Along with the progress of the times, everyone will think about how to complete all activities or needs quickly and practically. Central Jakarta is a municipality in the capital city of Jakarta, which is the center of government and business center, where everything is centered in Jakarta, of course, many residents who come from outside the region are looking for work or business in the capital, resulting in increasingly dense residential land. The need for shelter in every human being is a major need that must be met. Migrants who work in the capital are limited in information about temporary housing or what can be called boarding houses. Because it is very unlikely that the price of houses in Jakarta is quite expensive to buy them right away. However, the limited knowledge about the boarding room provider information available in each area in Jakarta requires that seekers have to visit one by one. Kos Kusuma Wijayanti, which is located in Central Jakarta, has more than 10 rooms and has 3 floors and has been operating since 2017. To be able to rent a boarding house, you must meet with the boarding house guard or contact the boarding house guard via Whatsapp. It does not rule out the possibility that in certain conditions the boarding house guard is not available or cannot be contacted, while the need for a place to live is very urgent. This is what underlies the author to carry out research and design a decision-making system that can be implemented in an Android-based application which aims to facilitate ordering or paying rent for boarding houses. Given the increasingly rapid advances in Android technology and the level of users who are increasingly expected with this application, it makes it easier for boarders to make boarding orders. Key words: Information System, Android, Boarding Rooms. Perkembangan teknologi di era globalisasi pada saat ini sangatlah pesat. Teknologi informasi sangat bermanfaat untuk mendukung dalam segala aktifitas di setiap lini kehidupan. Seiring dengan kemajuan zaman setiap orang akan berpikir bagaimana menyelesaikan segala kegiatan ataupun keperluan secara cepat dan praktis. Jakarta Pusat merupakan kotamadya di ibukota Jakarta yang menjadi pusat pemerintahan dan pusat bisnis yang segala sesuatu berpusat di Jakarta tentunya banyak penduduk yang berasal dari luar daerah mencari pekerjaan ataupun usahanya di ibukota dan mengakibatkan lahan tempat tinggal yang semakin padat. Kebutuhan akan tempat tinggal pada setiap manusia merupakan sebuah kebutuhan utama yang harus dipenuhi. Para perantau yang bekerja di ibukota dengan ketebatasan informasi mengenai tempat tinggal sementara atau bisa disebut rumah kos. Karena sangat tidak memungkinkan dengan harga rumah tinggal di Jakarta yang terbilang mahal untuk langsung membelinya. Tetapi keterbatasan pengetahuan tentang informasi penyedia kamar kos yang tersedia pada setiap daerah di Jakarta yang mengharuskan para pencarinya harus mengunjunginya satu-persatu. Kos Kusuma Wijayanti yang berlokasi di Jakarta Pusat yang mempunyai lebih dari 10 kamar dan mempunyai 3 lantai dan sudah beroperasi sejak tahun 2017. Untuk bisa menyewa kamar kos tersebut harus bertemu dengan pihak penjaga kos atau menghubungi penjaga kos via Whatsapp. Tidak menutup kemungkinan pada kondisi tertentu penjaga kos tidak ada di tempat ataupun tidak bisa di hubungi sedangkan kebutuhan akan tempat tinggal sangat mendesak. Hal ini yang mendasari penulis untuk melakukan penelitin dan perancangan sistem pengambilan keputusan yang dapat di implementasikan dalam sebuah aplikasi berbasis android yang bertujuan untuk memudahkan pemesanan ataupun pembayaran sewa kos. Mengingat semakin pesat kemajuan teknologi 7 https://lib.mercubuana.ac.id android dan tingkat pemakainya yang semakin banyak diharapan dengan adanya aplikasi ini memudahkan pencari kos melakukan pemesanan kos.
