Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety about facing the world of work in young adults who have just completed undergraduate studies (fresh graduates) in the Jakarta area. This research used a correlational quantitative design, involving 209 respondents (fresh graduates) in the Jakarta area who were obtained through non-probability sampling techniques with the accidental sampling method. The measuring instrument used for both variables is Bandura (1977) which was adapted by (Wahyuni, S.R., Hamid, H., Firdaus F. 2023) and Greenberger and Padesky (2016) which was adapted by (Wahyuni, S.R., Hamid, H., Firdaus F. 2023) which has been adapted again by the researcher to suit the circumstances that occurred in the problem under study. The test results showed that both scales were declared valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation technique. The results of this research prove that there is a strong significant positive relationship between the two self-efficacy variables and anxiety in facing the world of work of (R = 0.279) with the standard correlation analysis value, namely sig. < 0.05. On the other hand, there is a significant positive relationship between the dimensions of the self-efficacy variable, namely magnitude, and the mood dimension of the anxiety variable facing the world of work, amounting to (R= 0.184). Furthermore, there is also a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of the self-efficacy variable, namely the generality dimension, with the physical (R= 0.172) and moods (R= 0.163) dimensions of the anxiety variable facing the world of work. Finally, there is a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of the self-efficacy variable, namely strength, and the physical (R= 0.227), behavior (R= 0.232) and thought (R = 0.182) dimensions of the anxiety variable facing the world of work. Keywords: Self-efficacy, Anxiety about facing the world of work, Freshgraduate Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada dewasa awal yang baru saja menyelesaikan study S1 (freshgraduate) di wilayah Jakarta. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional, melibatkan 209 responden (freshgraduate) di wilayah Jakarta yang di peroleh melalui teknik non probability sampling dengan metode accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk kedua variabel adalah Bandura (1977) yang diadaptasi oleh (Wahyuni, S.R., Hamid, H., Firdaus F. 2023) dan Greenberger dan Padesky (2016) yang diadaptasi oleh (Wahyuni, S.R., Hamid, H., Firdaus F. 2023) yang telah di adaptasi kembali oleh peneliti untuk menyesuaikan keadaan yang terjadi pada permasalahan yang diteliti. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa kedua skala dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif signifikan yang kuat antara kedua variabel self-efficacy dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja sebesar (R = 0.279) dengan ketentuan nilai standar analisis korelasi yaitu sig. < 0.05. Disisi lain adanya hubungan positif signifikan antar dimensi dari variabel self-efficacy yaitu magnitude dengan dimensi moods dari variabel kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja sebesar (R= 0.184). Selanjutnya, juga terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan dari dimensi variabel self-efficacy yaitu dimensi generality dengan dimensi physical (R= 0.172) dan moods (R= 0.163) dari variabel kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja. Terakhir, terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara dimensi dari variabel selfefficacy yaitu strength dengan dimensi physical (R= 0.227), behavior (R= 0.232) dan thought (R =0.182) dari variabel kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja.
