Abstract
This study aims to determine the description of stress coping in the wives of victims of husband infidelity in marriages over 5 years. Respondents used by a wife of an infidel victim were married more than 5 years. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative approach, with a sample of four people. The method used in this study is non-participatory observation method and open interview method with interview guidelines. This study focuses on the description of stress coping in a wife who is an affair victim. Coping stress is intended here how a wife resolves existing problems. Coping stress is two ways, with Problem Focusing Coping and Emotional Focused Coping. The results of this study indicate that wives have different stress coping but have the same goals. Keywords: stress coping, wife. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran coping stress pada istri korban perselingkuhan suami pada pernikahan diatas 5 Tahun. Responden yang digunakan seorang istri korban perselingkuhan yang telah menikah lebih dari 5 Tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jumlah sampel empat orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi non-partispatif dan metode wawancara terbuka dengan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini berfokus kepada gambaran coping stres seorang istri korban perselingkuhan. Coping stress yang dimaksut disini bagaimana seorang istri menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada. Coping stres ada dua cara yakni dengan Problem Focused Coping dan Emotional Focused Coping. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa para istri memiliki coping stress yang berbeda-beda namun memiliki tujuan yang sama. Kata kunci: coping stress, istri.
