Abstract

The contribution of the manpower is an important area of development for the company. One of the parameters that can assess the performance is how the level of workload received by each worker. PT. Indalux Enterprindo is a company engaged in the general and decorative type of lighting pole product industry, which has product line up, such as Penerangan Jalan Umum pole (PJU) and Tiang Indalux Antik (TIA). In this study, the Full Time Equivalent method was used as a measuring tool to the existing workload of each PJU production operator. Based on the calculation results, it is known that there is a inequality in the workload of all operators. There are 6 workers who have an underload category and 2 workers who have an overload category. Because of this, suggestions for improvement were made, that is by equalizing work according to their skills. The result is an increase in workload efficiency from 60% to 68.11% and the number of operators to 7 people with unavoidable underload status. An analysis of the factors causing the workload inequality in the two conditions was also carried out by using Cause and Effect Diagram tool. The results show that the identical factors that causing the two conditions are factor of measurement and method. Then recommendations are given to each factor with proposed short-term and long-term evaluations. Salah satu parameter yang dapat menilai performanya adalah bagaimana tingkat beban kerja yang diterima oleh setiap pekerja. PT. Indalux Enterprindo adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di industri produk tiang lampu umum dan dekoratif yang memiliki line up produk seperti tiang Penerangan Jalan Umum (PJU) dan Tiang Indalux Antik (TIA). Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode Full Time Eqivalent sebagai alat ukur beban kerja existing setiap operator produksi PJU. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, diketahui bahwa terjadi ketidaksesuaian beban kerja pada seluruh operator. Terdapat 6 orang memiliki kategori beban kerja yang underload dan 2 orang yang memiliki kategori beban overload. Karena hal tersebut maka dilakukan usulan perbaikan yaitu dengan pemerataan kerja sesuai skill masing-masing. Hasilnya yaitu terjadi peningkatan efisiensi beban kerja dari 60% menjadi 68,11% dan jumlah operator menjadi 7 orang dengan status underload tidak dapat dihindari. Dilakukan pula analisis terkait faktor penyebab ketidaksesuaian beban kerja pada dua kondisi tersebut dengan menggunakan diagram sebab akibat. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa faktor identik penyebab kedua kondisi tersebut adalah unsur pengukuran dan metode. Kemudian diberikan rekomendasi pada setiap faktor dengan usulan evaluasi jangka pendek dan jangka panjang.
