Abstract
Based on the analysis of OSS operator 3 data that started with customer complaints in the Cikampek area, Karawang Regency, it shows that there are four sites in the area that have a percentage of resource block usage above 90%. This indicates that the demand for network capacity in the area continues to increase, resulting in low throughput received by users. In this final project, application of the inter-band carrier aggregation method in Cikampek area will be carried out by combining two component carriers, namely 10 MHz band at 1800 MHz frequency (band 3) and 10 MHz band at 2100 MHz frequency (band 1). One of the advantages of applying this method is that it can be a solution in increasing network capacity in areas with high traffic, by maximizing the resources owned by operators. Simulation of this method is carried out by comparing two conditions, namely before and after the application of inter-band carrier aggregation method in Atoll 3.3 software. In addition, in its application there are three parameters to be analyzed, including RSRP, SINR, and especially throughput. The results of simulation the inter-band carrier aggregation method are proven to be able to improve and increase the capacity of the LTE network, namely the RSRP value reaches -90.02 dBm with a percentage increase of 1.3%, SINR reaches 11.29 dB with a percentage increase of 14, 9%, and throughput reaches 6,509 kbps or 6.5 Mbps for each user with a percentage increase of 212%. Keywords: Carrier Aggregation, Inter-Band, LTE, Capacity, Resource Block, RSRP, SINR, Throughput.
