Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test the influence of talent.management and knowledge.management on employee.performance and employee. performance, as well as employee.engagement on employee.performance. This study used quantitative approach with causal research design. The research population is all employees at the Banten Regional Tax Office. Non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling, then 192 employees were selected as research samples through the slovin formula. The data for the study were obtained from questionnaires and then analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique. The results of the study showed that: (1) Talent management significantly influenced employee performance, (2) Talent management significantly influenced employee engagement, (3) Employee engagement significantly influenced employee performance, (4) Knowledge management significantly influenced employee engagement, and (5) Knowledge management significantly influenced employee performance. The researcher can provide several suggestions: it is better for the leaders to allow time for consultations with employees and to hold assessment tests for all employees. Such tests could be conducted not only for employees who have met the requirements, but also for employees who want and feel that they have high competence even though they have not met the requirements. Next, the agency paying attention to the needs of their employees, such as: healthcare facilities, and the need for backup providers to avoid internet disturbances that can delay employee work. Tujuan penelitian ini guna menguji hubungan talent management dan knowledge management terhadap employee engagement dan kinerja pegawai, serta employee engagement terhadap kinerja pegawai. Jenis penelitian yang dipergunakan yakni kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian kausal. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh pegawai Kantor Wilayah DJP Banten. Teknik pengambilan sampel nonprobability dengan purposive sampling, ditemukan 192 pegawai yang terpilih sebagai sampel melalui rumus slovin. Data diambil dengan kuesioner yang disebar selanjutnya dianalisis mempergunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Hasil yang ditunjukkan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Talent management memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, (2) Talent management memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement, (3) Employee engagement memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, (4) Knowledge management memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement, dan (5) Knowledge management memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Peneliti memberikan saran agar pimpinan memiliki waktu berkonsultasi dengan pegawai, diadakan tes assessment bagi seluruh pegawai, dimana tidak hanya pegawai yang telah memenuhi syarat yang dapat mengikuti, melainkan pegawai yang ingin dan merasa memiliki kompetensi yang tinggi walaupun belum memenuhi syarat, instansi memperhatikan sebagian kebutuhan pegawainya seperti kebutuhan akan fasilitas kesehatan, dan adanya provider cadangan untuk menghindari gangguan internet yang dapat menunda pekerjaan pegawai.
