Abstract
Seven tolls is a structured methodology to improve processes by using statistics and problem solving tools intensively towards the target of 3.4 failures per one million opportunities. PT. United Can is engaged in the manufacture of cans for food and beverage packaging, one of which is aerosol cans. To improve product quality, research is focused on the goal of reducing the percentage of defects using the Seven tolls After obtaining the company's control chart, the process capability in the manufacture of aerosol cans can be calculated. The next step is to identify the causes of defects that arise using the Seven tolls method. The research results show that the main causes of defects are workers, production machines, work methods, raw materials and work environment, so companies can take preventive and corrective actions to reduce damage levels and improve product quality. Keywords: Quality Control, Statistical Tools, Damage Seven tolls merupakan sebuah metodologi terstruktur untuk memperbaiki proses dengan menggunakan statistic dan problem solving tools secara intensif menuju target 3,4 kegagalan per satu juta kesempatan. PT. United Can bergerak di bidang industry pembuatan kaleng kemasan makanan dan minuman dengan salah satunya adalah kaleng aerosol. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk, penelitian difokuskan pada tujuan mengurangi persentase jumlah cacat menggunakan metode Seven tolls.. Setelah memperoleh peta kontrol perusahaan, dapat dihitung kapabilitas proses dalam pembuatan kaleng aerosol. Langkah selanjutnya identifikasi penyebab cacat yang timbul menggunakan metode Seven tollsl. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penyebab utama cacat adalah berasal dari faktor pekerja, mesin produksi, metode kerja, bahana baku dan lingkungan kerja, sehingga perusahaan dapat mengambil tindakan pencegahan serta perbaikan untuk menekan tingkat kerusakan dan meningkatkakn kualitas produk.
