Abstract
One of the problems that can lead to negative and risky behavior in teenagers is the low level of prosocial behavior. Several studies have shown differences in prosocial behavior based on authoritarian, authoritative, and permissive parenting styles, but the results are still inconsistent. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in prosocial behavior among undergraduate students (S1/D3) at Mercu Buana University Meruya Campus based on the application of authoritarian, authoritative, and permissive parenting styles. The study involved 254 late adolescent college students aged 18-22 years. This research used a quantitative method with Kruskal-Wallis data analysis. Sampling was done using non-probability sampling with accidental sampling techniques. Research data was collected using the Prosocial Tendencies Measure and the Parental Authority Questionnaire in the Indonesian version. The results of the study revealed that there were no differences in prosocial behavior among undergraduate students (S1/D3) at Mercu Buana University Meruya Campus based on the application of authoritarian, authoritative, and permissive parenting styles, with an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.660 (> 0.05). Beberapa penelitian telah menunjukkan adanya perbedaan perilaku prososial ditinjau dari pola asuh otoriter, autoritatif, dan permisif, tetapi hasilnya masih belum konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah perbedaan perilaku prososial mahasiswa S1/D3 di Universitas Mercu Buana kampus Meruya ditinjau dari penerapan pola asuh otoriter, autoritatif, dan permisif orang tua. Penelitian ini melibatkan 254 mahasiswa remaja akhir berusia 18-22 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis data Kruskal-Wallis. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan non-probability sampling dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Prosocial Tendencies Measure dan Parental Authority Questionnaire versi Indonesia. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan perilaku prososial mahasiswa S1/D3 di Universitas Mercu Buana kampus Meruya ditinjau dari penerapan pola asuh otoriter, autoritatif, dan permisif orang tua dengan hasil nilai Asymp.
