Abstract
Transformer oil is one of the liquid insulation materials used as insulation and coolant in transformers. As an insulating material, oil must have the ability to withstand penetrating stresses, whereas as a cooler, transformer oil must be able to reduce the heat generated, so with these two capabilities it is expected that transformer oil can protect the transformer from interference. DGA(Dissolved Gas Analyzers) is a method used to test the state of insulating oil by taking a sample of insulating oil from a transformer unit to determine the types of gas dissolved in transformer insulation oil from the results of the Dissolved Gas Analyzers test will be able to be concluded and predicted the type of disturbance that might occur in the transformer and can be taken immediately to prevent transformer failure. This final project analyzes the dissolved gas contents detected from transformer oil, so that the transformer can be known if there is interference, there are generally two characteristics that can be tested for transformer oil, including chemical and physical characteristics. Keywords : Transformer, Characteristics of insulating oil, DGA (Dissolved Gas Analyzers) Minyak transformator merupakan salah satu bahan isolasi cair yang dipergunakan sebagai isolasi dan pendingin pada transformator. Sebagai bahan isolasoi minyak harus memiliki kemampuan untuk menahan tegangan tembus,sedangkan sebagai pendingin minyak transformator harus mampu meredam panas yang ditimbulkan, sehingga dengan kedua kemampuan ini minyak transformator dihharapkan mampu melindungi transformator dari gangguan. DGA (Dissolved Gas Analyzers) merupakan metode pengujian yang dilakukan untuk menguji keadaan minyak isolasi dengan mengambil sample minyak isolasi dari unit transformator untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis gas yang terlarut dalam minyak isolasi transformator, dari hasil tes Dissolved Gas Analyzers tersebut akan dapat disimpulkan dan diprediksi jenis gangguan yang mungkin terjadi pada transformator dan dapat segera dilakukan tindakan pencegahan kegagalan transformator. Tugas akhir ini menganalisis kandungan-kandungan gas terlarut yang dideteksi dari minyak transformator,sehingga transformator dapat diketahui jika terdapat gangguan ,secara umum terdapat dua karakteristik yang dapat diuji minyak transformator, antara lain karakteristik kimia dan fisik.
