Abstract
Early adulthood occupies the greatest proportion of active Internet users or social media. According to the Dramaturgi Erving Goffman theory, social media is a self-described user. The purpose of this research is to know whether there is a self-esteem relationship, Loneliness with self-disclosure in the early adults who are still single in Jakarta. The subject Data is taken from samples of 186 early adults who are single in Jakarta with social Media users. This study uses a quantitative approach with the method of testing analysis of the correlation coefficient. The measurement scale used in this research is the Likert scale. The study used 3 measuring instruments, the first measurement of the self-disclosure variables measured using questionnaires adapted from the self-disclosure measuring instrument Magno, DKK (2008), consisting of 46 items. The two self-esteem measuring instruments are adapted from Heatherton and Policy (1991), consisting of 20 items. Thirdly, the loneliness measuring instrument used is a measuring instrument of UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3) compiled by Russell (1996), consisting of 10 items. This study uses non-probability sampling technique, which is convenience sampling. Test result statistical analysis of Self-Esteem level correlation with Self-Disclosure obtained r = 0.086, p = 0.343 which means > 0.05 then there is no significant relationship between Self-Esteem variables and Self Disclosure. Then the resulting correlation test between Loneliness variables with Self Disclosure has a value of r = 0.556, p = 0.04 which means < 0.05 then Loneliness is positively and significantly related to Self-Disclosure. The results of this study show that self-esteem has no positive and significant relationship with self-disclosure in social Media of single early adults in Jakarta. While Loneliness is positively and significantly related to self-disclosure in social Media of single adult beginnings in Jakarta. Keywords : self-esteem, Loneliness, self-disclosure, Adult, Single, Sosial Media Dewasa awal menempati proporsi paling besar pengguna internet aktif atau media sosial. Menurut teori Dramaturgi Erving Goffman, media sosial merupakan gambaran diri pengguna. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan self-esteem, Loneliness dengan self-disclosure pada orang dewasa awal yang masih lajang di Jakarta. Data subjek diambil dari sampel sebanyak 186 dewasa awal yang masih lajang di Jakarta dengan pengguna Media Sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis uji Koefisien Korelasi. Skala pengukuran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala Likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 alat ukur, pertama pengukuran variabel self-disclosure diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang diadaptasi dari alat ukur self-disclosure Magno, dkk (2008), yang terdiri dari 46 item. Kedua alat ukur self-esteem diadaptasi dari Heatherton dan Policy (1991), yang terdiri dari 20 item. Ketiga, alat ukur loneliness yang digunakan merupakan alat ukur dari UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3) yang disusun oleh Russell (1996), yang terdiri dari 10 item. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling yaitu convenience sampling. Hasil Uji Analisis Statistik pada korelasi taraf Self-Esteem dengan Self-Disclosure diperoleh nilai r= 0,086, p= 0,343 yang artinya >0,05 maka tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel Self-Esteem dengan Self Disclosure. Lalu hasil uji korelasi antar variabel Loneliness dengan Self Disclosure memiliki nilai r = 0,556 , p = 0,04 yang artinya <0,05 maka Loneliness berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan Self-Disclosure. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem tidak mempunyai hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan self-disclosure dalam Media Sosial Para Dewasa Awal Lajang Di Jakarta. Sedangkan Loneliness berhubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap selfdisclosure dalam Media Sosial Para Dewasa Awal Lajang Di Jakarta Kata Kunci: Self-Esteem, Loneliness, Self-Disclosure, Dewasa, Lajang, Media Sosial
