Abstract
A safety system for flammable gases is required in the process industry. The application of this security system is applied to storage plants or factories. Storage in the industrial world is usually used to store critical items from fire, so system protection is needed. Flame gas sensors are used in protection systems to detect and monitor flame gas spaces. With a system using gas sensors, air dampers and fans and connected to the PLC so that the system can be controlled and monitoring values. Control and monitoring with SCADA is used in the system for sensor settings and Damper openings. The setpoint value set from the read gas sensor value will be processed by the PLC to control the Damper water percentage value and fan operation. In addition, there is an alarm indication from the gas sensor value as a warning. The test results on gas leak detection show several conditions where gas is detected by the system at more than 15% LAL, then the damper will open around 45° and the blower fan will operate 1 unit. And if the gas has been detected at more than 18% LAL, the damper will open the penis with an opening of 90° the fan will operate 2 units to maximize gas discharge in the industrial process warehouse. Keywords : PLC, XCD RFD Gas Sensor, SCADA, Air Damper. Sistem keamanan dari gas mudah terbakar diperlukan pada dunia industry proses. Penerapan sistem keamanan tersebut diterapkan pada storage plant atau pabrik. Storage pada dunia industri biasa digunakan untuk menyimpan barang- barang yang kritikal dari api, sehingga proteksi sistem diperlukan. Sensor flame gas digunakan pada sistem proteksi untuk mendeteksi dan memonitoring ruangan dari flame gas. Dengan sistem menggunakan sensor gas, air Damper dan fan serta terhubung pada PLC sehingga sistem bersifat dapat dikontrol dan monitoring nilai. Kendali dan pemantauan dengan SCADA digunakan dalam sistem untuk seting sensor dan bukaan air Damper. Nilai setpoint yang ditetapkan dari nilai sensor gas yang terbaca akan diproses oleh PLC untuk mengontrol nilai persentase air Damper dan operasi fan. Selain itu terdapat indikasi alarm dari nilai sensor gas sebagai peringatan. Hasil pengujian pada deteksi kebocoran gas mudah terbakar terdapat beberapa kondisi di mana gas terdeteksi oleh sistem lebih dari 15 % LAL , maka damper akan terbuka sekitar 45° untuk fan Blower akan beroprasi 1 unit . Dan apabila gas sudah terdeteksi lebih dari 18% LAL maka damper akan terbuka penus dengan bukaan 90° fan akan beroprasi 2 unit untuk memaksimalkan pembuangan gas di dalam gudang industri proses. Sistem akan standby atau normal dengan konsentrasi gas kurang dari 15% LAL . Kata kunci : PLC, Sensor Gas XCD RFD, SCADA , Air Damper.
