Abstract
This quantitative study aims to discover the correlation between students' communication skill and their employability skill in the Islamic State University of Jakarta. There were 168 psychology students participated in this study in the year of academic 2014-2018. There were two scale tests in this study. The communication skill was measured by communication skill test (De Vito 2011) with 67 items whereas the employability skill employed a Scans skills assessment consists of 24 parts (Roberts, Lynn, & etc, 2000). Furthermore, it was analyzed employing a Spearman correlation test and SPSS 22.0. In addition, this study found out that there was a relationship among communication and employability skills with 0,514 coefficient value and significance 0,000<0,05. Keyword : Interpersonal Communication skills, Employability skills Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Communication skills dengan Employability Skills pada mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Islam Negri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan total responden 168 mahasiswa psikologi angkatan 2014-2018 dengan menggunakan incidental sampling. Communication skills diukur dengan menggunakan skala Communication skills (De Vito 2011)yang terdiri dari 67 item dan untuk Employability Skills diukur menggunakan skala kompetensi Employability Skills, SCANS SKILLS ASSESMENT (Roberts, Lynn, & dkk, 2000) yang terdiri dari 24 item. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi spearman dengan menggunakan bantuan spss 22.0. dari hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan antara Communication skills dengan Employability Skills pada mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Islam Negri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,514 dan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05.
