Abstract
With current developments, productivity activities are very important in creating products, product quality can be determined by consumers where companies are required to be able to provide or produce quality products in order to continue to outperform the competition between companies. PT. Damai Abadi is one of the aluminum extrusion manufacturing companies that produces aluminum profiles of PT. Damai Abadi has a problem, namely that there are still many product defects that reach an average of 6,94% which is produced in the production of Aluminum-CA No. 28991. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the immediate problems that occur using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) methods. From the results of the analysis, the average sigma value of the company is 3.64, which is included in a good level of sigma value but still needs improvement and the dominant type of defect occurs in colors that do not match the master sample, with a percentage result of 50.8%. This analysis is carried out with the aim of knowing more about the factors that greatly influence the product defect so that improvements can be made to the company immediately. Keywords: Quality, Aluminum-CA No. 28991, DMAIC, FMEA Dengan perkembangan zaman saat ini, kegiatan produktivitas sangatlah penting dalam menciptakan produk, kualitas produk dapat ditentukan oleh konsumen dimana perusahaan dituntut untuk dapat memberikan atau menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas agar terus mengungguli persaingan antar perusahaan. PT. Damai Abadi adalah salah satu perusahaan manufaktur ekstrusi aluminium yang memproduksi profil aluminium PT. Damai Abadi memiliki permasalahan yaitu masih banyaknya terjadi produk defect mencapai rata-rata 6,94% yang dihasilkan pada produksi Aluminium-CA No. 28991. Maka dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis segara permasalahan yang terjadi dengan menggunakan Metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve dan Control) dan FMEA (Failure Mode and Efect Analysis). Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan rata-rata nilai sigma perusahaan yaitu 3,64 termasuk dalam tingkatan nilai sigma yang baik tetapi masih perlu adanya perbaikan dan jenis defect dominan terjadi pada warna yang tidak sesuai dengan master sample yaitu dengan hasil persentase sebesar 50,8%. Analisis ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk lebih mengetahi faktor-faktor yang sangat berpengaruh tehadap produk defect sehingga dapat segera dilakukan perbaikan kepada perusahaan.
