Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between mindfulness and emotional well-being on the activity of grounding: barefoot walking. This research uses a quantitative non-experimental with method through a correlation model. Collecting the sample in here use a non-probability method with convenience technique sampling. The participants in this research were 143 people who were doing the activity of grounding. The instrument to measure the variables was using MAAS (Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale) and SPANE (Scale of Positive and Negative Experience) scale. The result of this research shows that there is a correlation with positive direction between mindfulness and emotional well-being, with the R-value = .496 (p < .001). Which can be concluded that people who does grounding activities have high state of mindfulness, their emotional well-being have in a high state as well. Keywords: Mindfulness, Emotional Well-being, Grounding, Barefoot Walking Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara mindfulness dengan emotional well-being pada aktivitas grounding: barefoot walking. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan pendekatan korelasi, dimana pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode nonprobability dengan teknik convenience sampling. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 143 responden yang memiliki kriteria melakukan aktivitas grounding: barefoot walking. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala MAAS (Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale) dan skala SPANE (Scale of Positive and Negative Experience). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan dengan arah korelasi positif antara mindfulness dengan emotional well-being pada aktivitas grounding: barefoot walking dengan nilai signifikansi R = .496 (p < .001). Sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa ketika seseorang yang melakukan aktivitas grounding memiliki mindfulness yang tinggi, maka kesejahteraan emosional yang dimilikinya pun juga tinggi.
