Abstract
Specific fuel consumption is the ratio of total fuel consumption to electricity generated in the electricity generation industry. This ratio is usually used as a way to learn more efficiently for electricity generation and to predict the heating value of the fuel used for combustion. If the fuel used has a high heating value, the SFC value will go down because there is not much fuel consumption. This research discusses the effect of additives on SFC and a comparison of the effect of optimal machine load for effective and efficient SFC values. SFC values were obtained through direct measurement methods in the field with Tokico Flowmeters. And the Powernet GS dynamometer. Because of the special addictive substance into diesel fuel, it regulates to improve the characteristics of the fuel, so the engine performance increases. Based on the results of research on the use of a mixture of oxygenating additives by 0% - 5% in this study has been proven to increase fuel savings Calorie Value, Density, and viscosity of calculation 3 experiments. With the calorie, a value obtained 50.61-50.64MJ / g Density 0.915-0.934 (g / cm3) and viscosity 5.28-5.43, mm2 / S. Addition of interval percentage additives 1-5% with variations produced by the machine 543-1400 rpm with the use of diesel fuel opposes the achievement of the engine, with an increase in engine torque of 1.01%. From the results of the research obtained by Sfc, the cheapest engine performed in testing using fuel, 100% ie 0.237-0.261 with a primary rating of 1476 KW. While the highest Sfc engine occurred in testing using 25 % fuels, namely 0.249-0.295 with the main rating of 1476 KW. Keywords: Specific fuel Consumption, Load Ratio, Additives, Torque, Power Specific fuel consumption adalah rasio perbandingan total konsumsi bahan bakar terhadap daya listrik yang dibangkitkan dalam sebuah industri pembangkitan listrik. Rasio ini biasanya digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengetahui seberapa efisien sebuah pembangkit listrik dan untuk memprediksi nilai kalor bahan bakar yang digunakan untuk pembakaran. Pada penelitian ini dianalisis pengaruh penambahan zat aditif terhadap SFC dan seberapa besar pengaruh ratio beban optimal engine untuk nilai SFC yang efektif dan efisien. Nilai SFC didapat melalui metode pengukuran langsung di lapangan dengan Flow meter Tokico. Zat adiktif biasanya dicampur ke dalam bahan bakar solar, dimaksudkan untuk memperbaiki karakteristik dari bahan bakar, sehingga unjuk kerja mesin meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penggunaan campuran additif oksigenat sebanyak 0% -5 % pada penelitian ini telah terbukti mempengaruhi penghematan bahan bakar Nilai Kalori, Densitas dan Viskositas.Nilai kalori yang didapat 50,61- 50,64 MJ/g, Densitas 0,915-0,934 (g/cm3) dan viskositas 5,28-5,43 mm2 /S. Penambahan aditif persentase interval 1-5 % dengan variasi Putaran Engine 543-1400 rpm dengan Pemakaian bahan bakar solar berpengaruh terhadap prestasi mesin, dengan Kenaikan Torsi Engine sebanyak1,01 %. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh Sfc terendah mesin terjadi pada pengujian dengan menggunakan bahan bakar 100% yaitu 0.237-0.261 dengan prime rating 1476 KW. Sedangkan Sfc tertinggi mesin terjadi pada pengujian dengan menggunakan bahan bakar 25 % Yaitu 0.249-0.295 dengan prime rating 1476 KW.
