Abstract

In the current era where technology has developed rapidly, so that it affects people's patterns in everyday life, one of which is in a business field. In a line of business there is a section known as the warehouse, all activities for recording goods for operational activities occur in this section. Recording of warehouse activities in a manual way such as using Microsoft Excel can still be found in several business fields, the application cannot store data and information centrally in a database, causing information discrepancies and data loss caused by humans. To overcome this problem, an inventory application is needed that can help store and manage warehouse data and display reports according to needs. The method used in this research is the waterfall method which is commonly used in system development. Where the waterfall method has various stages to build an application system. Based on the results of research on the application of goods inventory can increase business efficiency, reduce errors and data loss. Key words: Application, Inventory, waterfall Di masa sekarang ini dimana teknologi sudah berkembang dengan pesat, sehingga mempengaruhi pola masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya yaitu dalam sebuah bidang usaha. Di dalam suatu bidang usaha ada bagian yang dikenal dengan gudang, segala aktifitas pencatatan barang untuk kegiatan operasional terjadi pada bagian ini. Pencatatan aktifitas gudang dengan cara manual seperti menggunakan microsoft excel masih dapat ditemui di beberapa bidang usaha, didalam aplikasi tersebut tidak bisa menyimpan data dan informasi secara terpusat didalam suatu basis data, sehingga menyebabkan ketidaksesuaian informasi dan kehilangan data yang diakibatkan oleh manusia. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut diperlukan sebuah aplikasi inventory barang yang dapat membantu menyimpan dan mengelola data-data gudang serta menampilkan laporan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode waterfall yang biasa digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem. Dimana metode waterfall memiliki berbagai tahapan untuk membangun sistem aplikasi. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian aplikasi inventory barang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi bidang usaha, mengurangi kesalahan dan kehilangan data. Kata kunci: Aplikasi, Inventory, waterfall
