Abstract

The development of cellular communication is increasing very rapidly with the advent of 4G technology, which one of the features of the 4G is VoLTE which is a voice over IP technology. All communications will share data paths, so that will increasingly require greater bandwidth, but the ability of land to accommodate new infrastructure is inadequate. Therefore, it is necessary to look for optimization to accommodate increased bandwidth requirements. One way to optimize bandwidth is to use the TCP Congestion Control algorithm that is appropriate for use. Some common TCP Congestion Control algorithms are Cubic, Westwood, and Reno. Researchers performed a comparison of TCP Congestion Control algorithms aimed to determine the comparison between algorithms on the quality of VoLTE using one-way ANOVA testing. From the data processing, it shows that the three TCP Congestion Control Algorithms studied have no significant difference to the quality of VoLTE. Keywords: VoLTE, Congestion, TCP Algorithm, Cubic, Westwood, Reno Perkembangan komunikasi selular meningkat dengan sangat pesat dengan munculnya teknologi 4G, dimana salah satu fitur dari 4G tersebut adalah VoLTE yang merupakan teknologi voice over IP. Semua komunikasi akan berbagi jalur data, sehingga akan semakin membutuhkan bandwith yang lebih besar lagi, namun kemampuan lahan untuk menampung infrastruktur baru tidak mencukupi. Oleh karena itu perlu mencari optimasi untuk mengakomodasi keperluan bandwith yang bertambah. Salah satu cara untuk mengoptimasi bandwith adalah dengan menggunakan algoritma TCP Congestion Control yang tepat sesuai dengan penggunaan. Beberapa algoritma TCP Congestion Control yang umum adalah Cubic, Westwood, dan Reno. Peneliti melakukan komparasi algoritma TCP Congestion Control bertujuan untuk mengetahui komparasi antar algoritma terhadap kualitas dari VoLTE dengna menggunakan pengujian one-way ANOVA. Dari pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa ketiga Algoritma TCP Congestion Control yang diteliti tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kualitas VoLTE.
