Abstract
Dalam memenangkan persaingan bisnis, tentunya perusahaan harus unggul dalam kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Salah satu upaya perusahaan untuk membangun kualifikasi SDM adalah dengan cara membangun competency yang dimiliki oleh karyawannya. Dengan competency yang selaras dengan tujuan perusahaan, maka dapat terwujud career development yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung career development berupa coaching & counseling, melalui intervensinya dalam mengurangi gap competency karyawan. Key informan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 (lima) orang, dengan penetapan situasi sosial menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur, wawancara dan observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif deskriptif, sedangkan uji instrumennya adalah melalui triangulasi significant others dan triangulasi method. Data diolah dengan bantuan program NVivo 12. Adapun output dari penelitian ini yaitu teridentifikasi implementasi dan konsep model coaching & counseling dalam mendukung career development. Hasil akhir penelitian ini yaitu rekomendasi program coaching & counseling dalam rencana kerja untuk mencegah terjadinya gap competency karyawan sehingga mendukung optimalisasi career development di perusahaan PT. MAHLE Indonesia. Saran yang diberikan adalah dilakukannya coaching & counseling dengan menggunakan teknik GROW (Goal-Reality-Options-Will). Kata Kunci: Coaching & Counseling, Gap Competency, Career Development, GROW Technique. In winning the business competition, the company must excel in the quality of Human Resources (HR). One of the company's efforts to build HR qualifications is by building the competency of its employees. Through alignment within competencies and company goals, career development optimization can be realized. This study purposes to identify supporting factors of career development by coaching & counseling, through its interventions in reducing employee competency gaps. The key informants involved in this study were 5 (five) people, by determining the social situation using purposive sampling. Data collection methods are literature studies, interviews and observations. This study uses a descriptive qualitative analysis method, while the instrument test is othrough significant others triangulation and method triangulation. The data was processed by utilized of NVivo 12 program. The output of this study is identified the implementation and concept of the coaching & counseling model in supporting career development. The final result of this research is the recommendation of the coaching & counseling program in the work plan to prevent the employee competency gap thus support the optimization of career development in PT. MAHLE Indonesia. The advice given is to do coaching & counseling using the GROW (Goal-Reality-Options-Will) technique.
