Abstract

Electrical power system equipment such as distribution transformers have a design life determined by the manufacturing company so that they can operate within a certain period of time. But in line with its use in the field, the life of the transformer can be reduced due to several things. One of the causes of reduced service life of a transformer is loading, loading results in the decomposition of transformer materials which can accelerate the aging process of a transformer. The occurrence of heat that is too high will be able to change the construction properties of transformer parts. Any increase of approx. 6°C from the permissible limit will result in reduced life. This temperature rise should be limited. Insulation from the conductor in the transformer winding will cause damage if subjected to high temperatures. From the results of the calculations performed, transformers that are loaded <80% to 100% of the power rating of the transformer, it is found that the age loss in the transformer is still normal or does not really affect the life of the transformer. For transformers that are loaded > 100% of the power rating of the transformer, it is found that the transformer has experienced a decrease in the life of the transformer. Peralatan sistem tenaga listrik seperti transformator distribusi memliki umur design yanag ditentukan oleh perusahaan manufaktur sehingga dapat beroperasi dalam kurun waktu tertentu. Namun sejalan dengan pemakaiannya di lapangan, umur transformator dapat berkurang akibat beberapa hal. Salah satu penyebab berkurangnya umur penggunaan transformator adalah pembebanan, pembebanan mengakibatkan terjadinya penguraian dari bahan-bahan transformator yang dapat mempercepat proses penuaan suatu transformator. Terjadinya panas yang terlalu tinggi akan dapat merubah sifat konstruksi bagianbagian transformator. Setiap kenaikan sekitar 6°C dari batas yang diizinkan akan mengakibatkan berkurangnya umur. Kenaikan suhu ini harus dibatasi. Isolasi dari penghantar (conductor) pada belitan transformator akan mengakibatkan kerusakan jika dikenai suhu yang tinggi. Dari hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan, transformator yang berbeban <80% s/d 100% dari rating daya transformator diperoleh bahwa susut umur pada transformator masih normal atau tidak terlalu berpengaruh pada umur pemakaian transformator. Untuk transformator yang berbeban >100% dari rating daya transformator diperoleh bahwa transformator mengalami penyusutan umur untuk pemakain transformator. Kata kunci : transformator distribusi, masa umur pakai, pengaruh beban terhadap masa pakai.
