Abstract
PT Multi Indah Makmur Industri is a company engaged in industrial manufacturing metal cans. Hence the existence of warehouse is crucial. Most of the expense in a typical warehouse is in labor; most of that is in order-picking; and most of that is in travel. Order picking has been long identified as the most labor-intensive and costly activity for almost every warehouse; the cost of order picking is estimated to be as 55% of the total warehouse operating expense. The purpose of this study is to compare the traveling distance or time by Sshape, return, and optimal,routing method in the warehouse of PT. Multi Indah Makmur Industri. shape, The results shows optimal method gives shortest distance of picking order route with 100% result from 30 picking order samples. Therefore routing method suitable for PT. Multi Indah Makmur Industri is optimal routing method. Kata kunci : picking order, metode routing, warehous PT Multi Makmur Indah Industri adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur dengan produk berupa kaleng kemasan. Sehingga keberadaan warehouse sangat penting. Sebagian besar biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk warehouse adalah pada pekerjaan manual, yang sebagian besar dihabiskan untuk order-picking, yang dihabiskan untuk perjalanan pengambilan. Order-picking sudah lama diidentifikasi sebagai pekerjaan paling intensif dan paling membutuhkan biaya untuk hampir semua warehouse; biaya untuk order-picking diperkirakan sebanyak 55% dari total pengeluaran operasional warehouse. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membandingkan jarak atau waktu optimal yang ditempuh oleh metode routing S-shape, return, dan optimal di warehouse PT. memberikan rute picking order terpendek dengan hasil 100% dari 30 order picking yang diambil sebagai sample. Dengan demikian metode routing yang sesuai untuk diterapkan di PT. Multi Indah Makmur Industri adalah metode routing optimal. Kata kunci : picking order, metode routing, warehouse
