Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness in adolescents in Bekasi City. This study uses a non-probability sampling technique with the type of purposive sampling. Respondents in this study were male and female adolescents aged 17 to 23 in Bekasi City with a total population of 410,323 people and 152 samples were taken. This study uses a correlational quantitative research design. The scale used is the aggressiveness scale compiled by researchers based on aspects of Buss and Perry (1992) and the emotional intelligence scale compiled by researchers based on aspects of emotional intelligence according to Goleman (1995). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness or it could be said that the higher the aggressiveness, the lower the level of emotional intelligence and the lower the aggressiveness, the higher the emotional intelligence.
