Abstract
Solar cell technology is one of renewable energy, solar cells are devices that can convert solar light energy into electricity by following the Photovoltaic principle. One alternative that can be applied to this problem is the utilization of solar cell technology. In this research, PLTS planning will be made by utilizing the canteen building of Mercu Buana University because it has a large land area. The design of this PLTS is done by identifying the roof layout of the building of Kantin Building of Mercu Buana University, then made an ideal design with the existing equipment specifications. PLTS using Off-Grid system, and using Battery Charge Regulator component with 3.5kW capacity 2 pieces BCR, 1 inverter capacity of 6 kWp, solar cell panel with capacity of 200 Wp required 30 solar panels with 3 series 10 Pararels in order to get the circuit Even 10 Arrays to produce more power from the load, and 12V 200Ah battery used 5 Bank Battrey. Testing is done starting at 07.00-18.00. The results showed that the highest intensity of sunlight occurred between the hours of 09:00 to 15:00. The load of the canteen of the University of Mercu Buana is 16,780 W, and the PLTS generates power of 23,800 W, spare power which can be used for overload of 7,020 W. With Losses compensation of 0.73 W. The initial investment cost is 296,900,000 and Payback Period for 9 year. Keywords: Design of PLTS, Photovoltaic, Off Grid Teknlogi Sel Surya salah satu energi terbarukan, sel surya adalah perangkat yang dapat mengubah energi cahaya matahari menjadi listrik dengan mengikuti prinsip Photovoltaic. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat diterapkan untuk permasalahan ini adalah pemanfaatan teknologi sel surya. Pada penelitian ini, akan dibuat perencanaan PLTS dengan memanfaatkan gedung Kantin Universitas Mercu Buana karena memiliki tempat lahan yang luas. Perancangan PLTS ini dilakukan dengan cara identifikasi layout atap gedung gedung Kantin Universitas Mercu Buana, kemudian dibuat desain yang ideal dengan spesifikasi peralatan yang ada. PLTS yang dipakai menggunakan sistem Off-Grid, dan menggunakan komponen Battery Charge Regulator dengan kapasitas 3,5kW 2 buah BCR, 1 inverter berkapasitas 6 kWp, panel sel surya dengan kapasitas 200 Wp dibutuhkan 30 panel surya dengan disusun 3 seri 10 Pararel agar mendapatkan rangkaian genap 10 Array supaya menghasilkan daya yang lebih dari beban, dan battery 12V 200Ah digunakan 5 Bank Battrey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas cahaya matahari tertinggi terjadi antara jam 09.00-15.00. beban kantin Universitas Mercu Buana sebesar 16.780 W, dan PLTS menghasilkan daya sebesar 23,800 W, daya spare yang dapat digunakan untuk beban berlebih sebesar 7.020 W. Biaya investasi awal sebesar 296,900,000 dan payback period selama 9 tahun. Kata Kunci: Perancangan PLTS, Photovoltaic, Off-Grid
