Abstract
The automotive industry in Indonesia is experiencing very rapid development and has become an important part of the manufacturing sector in this country. In order to keep up with these developments, car manufacturers continue to innovate to produce quality cars at prices that are as cheap as possible. The growth of the economy in Indonesia is in line with the increase in per capita income of the community, which has led to an increase in the need for high mobility. Looking at this opportunity the giant duo of Indonesia's leading car manufacturers, Daihatsu and Toyota, collaborated again to create LCGC vehicles for 7 passengers. PT. Toyota Auto Body - Tokai Extrusion is one of the chosen candidates. PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor to produce Weatherstrip Quarter Window. The company must determine whether to invest in the engine or do the outhouse process to another company that has the machinery facilities to get business from PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor. This research discuss about the investment feasibility study of Injection Rubber Machine that conducted by PT. Toyota Auto Body - Tokai Extrusion to support the decision whether production will be carried out in the inhouse or outhouse. The investment needed is an injection rubber machine. The method used for this research is the investment criteria. This method is one of the tools to determine the feasibility of an investment that has been made from the financial side. The principle of Investment Criteria is to calculate Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Payback Period, and Benefit Cost Ratio. From the calculation obtained the NPV inhouse < 0, NPV outhouse > 0 , IRR inhouse < MARR, IRR outhouse > MARR, PP inhouse selama 5 tahun 9 bulan, PP outhouse selama 1 tahun 9 bulan, BCR inhouse < 1, and BCR outhouse > 1 Analysis of the results showed it was found that the investment of Rubber Injection machines carried out by PT. Toyota Auto Body - Tokai Extrusion is declared not feasible if done in an inhouse, but it is very feasible if done in an outhouse Keywords : Feasibility Study, Investment Criteria, NPV, IRR, PP, dan BCR Industri otomotif di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat dan telah menjadi bagian penting dalam sector manufaktur di negara ini. Agar dapat mengimbangi perkembangan tersebut, perusahaan-perusahaan produsen mobil terus melakukan inovasi untuk menghasilkan mobil-mobil berkualitas dengan harga yang semurah mungkin. Bertumbuhnya ekonomi di Indonesia sejalan dengan naiknya pendapatan perkapita masyarakat sehingga menyebabkan naiknya kebutuhan akan mobilitas yang tinggi. Melihat pada kesempatan ini duo raksasa produsen mobil terkemuka diindonesia yaitu Daihatsu dan Toyota berkolaborasi kembali untuk menciptakan kendaraan LCGC untuk 7 penumpang. PT. Toyota Auto Body - Tokai Extrusion merupakan salah satu candidat yang terpilih. PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor untuk memproduksi Weatherstrip Quarter Window. Perusahaan tersebut harus menentukan apakah harus berinvestasi mesin atau melakukan proses outhouse ke perusahaan lain yang memiliki fasilitas mesin tersebut demi mendapatkan bisnis dari PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai analisis kelayakan investasi mesin yang dilakukan oleh PT. Toyota Auto Body - Tokai Extrusion untuk mendukung keputusan apakah produksi akan dilakukan di inhouse atau outhouse. Investasi yang diperlukan adalah mesin Injection rubber. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Kriteria Investasi. Metode ini merupakan salah satu alat untuk menentukan kelayakan suatu investasi yang telah dilakukan dari sisi financial. Prinsip kriteria investasi adalah menghitung nilai Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Payback Period, dan Benefit Cost Ratio. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai NPV inhouse < 0, NPV outhouse > 0, IRR inhouse < MARR, IRR outhouse > MARR, PP inhouse selama 5 tahun 9 bulan, PP outhouse selama 1 tahun 9 bulan, BCR inhouse < 1, dan BCR outhouse > 1. Dari hasil Analisis diperoleh bahwa investasi mesin Injection Rubber yang dilakukan PT. Toyota Auto Body - Tokai Extrusion dinyatakan tidak layak jika dilakukan di inhouse, tetapi sangat layak jika dilakukan di outhouse.
