Abstract

UD. Sumber Jaya is home industry in Pekalongan which was founded in 2010. This trading business is engaged in the industry providing raw material for convection, such as thread. UD. Sumber Jaya has winding process with a second party for dyeing process. The work sistem at UD. Sumber Jaya still uses manual on production process so that it can affect time efficiency. This study aims to improve the work system by planning the standard time requirements in winding process using the stop watch method. Improvement of the work system it can affect an increase time process efficiency at work station winding I is 13.69% from the time before the repair and at work station winding II is 17.14% then an increase production capacity at work station winding I is 20% and at work station winding II increase 23% after improvement of work system. Keywords: Work System, Standard Time, Efficiency, Production Capacity UD. Sumber Jaya merupakan salah satu Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) di kota Pekalongan yang berdiri sejak tahun 2010. Usaha dagang ini bergerak di bidang industri penyedia produk bahan baku konveksi yaitu benang jahit. UD. Sumber Jaya telah memiliki tempat untuk penggulungan benang yang bekerjasama dengan pihak kedua untuk pewarnaan benangnya. Di UD. Sumber Jaya masih menggunakan sistem kerja manual pada proses produksinya sehingga dapat berpengaruh pada efisiensi waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan sistem kerja dengan perencanaan kebutuhan waktu baku pada proses penggulungan menggunakan metode jam henti. Dengan perbaikan sistem kerja dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan efisiensi waktu pada Penggulungan I sebesar 13,69% dari waktu sebelum perbaikan dan pada Penggulungan II sebesar 17,14 % sedangkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi pada Penggulungan I sebesar 20 % dari sebelumnya dan pada Penggulungan II meningkat sebesar 23%.
