Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku phubbing pada usia remaja akhir. Phubbing merupakan suatu perilaku dimana individu secara terus menerus melihat telepon genggam, menggunakan telepon genggam terlalu larut, dan menghindar dari hubungan interpersonal seperti sedang berkomunikasi dengan orang lain. Penggunaan telepon genggam yang bermasalah dapat menimbulkan perilaku adiksi. Perilaku phubbing dapat terjadi karena individu dalam menggunakan teknologi telepon genggam tidak mampu memanfaatkan secara bijak sehingga dapat menimbulkan perilaku berlebihan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 orang pelaku phubbing pada usia remaja akhir, subyek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 orang wanita dan 1 orang lakilaki. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara disertai dengan pedoman wawancara dan pendekatan fenomenologi. Validasi data yang digunakan dengan menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subyek memiliki temuan dalam penelitian yaitu temuan yang didapatkan berupa perilaku phubbing menumbulkan perilaku agresif, insecure dan fear missing out Kata Kunci : Phubbing, remaja akhir, handphone, adiksi This study was conducted to determine the description of phubbing behavior in late adolescence. Phubbing is a behavior in which individuals continuously look at mobile phones, use cell phones too late, and avoid interpersonal relationships such as communicating with other people. Problematic cell phone use can lead to addictive behavior. Phubbing behavior can occur because individuals in using mobile phone technology are not able to use it wisely so that it can lead to excessive behavior. The subjects in this study were 3 people who experienced firsthand the phubbing behavior in their late teens. The type of research used in this study is qualitative by using interview techniques accompanied by interview guidelines. Validation of the data used by using time triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the three subjects experienced two aspects of phubbing behavior with different conditions experienced in each subject, the three subjects also experienced phubbing behavior factors with different experience conditions, and the three subjects also experienced the characteristics of phubbing behavior with different conditions. experienced differently for each subject.
