Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between adjustment in college and adult attachment. The subjects of this study were early-level students who were in stages 1-4 semesters in the age range of 18-25 years at the University X Jakarta, this study used a quantitative approach with a correlation design, the sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The instruments used in this research are Student Adjustment To College Questionnaire (SACQ) and Experience In Close Relationship-Revised Structure (ECR-RS). All data analysis in this study used the SPSS 25 assistance program. The results showed a strong correlation on adjustment in college with adult attachment, especially in avoidant attachment style to mother and father figures, but did not show a significant correlation to a friendship and romantic partner relationship. This research is expected to be developed again with more accurate techniques and more effective methods. Key words : student adjustment to college, adult attachment, college student. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi dengan adult attachment. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat awal yang berada pada tahap 1-4 semester dalam rentang usia 18-25 thn di universitas X Jakarta, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi, Teknik pengambilan sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. instrumen yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu, Student Adjustment To College Questionnaire (SACQ) dan Experience In Close Relationship-Revised Structure (ECR-RS) yang terdiri dari domain Ibu, Ayah, Teman, dan Pasangan. Seluruh analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan dengan taraf yang lemah terhadap penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi dengan adult attachment khususnya pada gaya kelekatan menghindar (avoidant attachment style) terhadap figure ayah dan ibu namun tidak memiliki nilai hubungan yang signifikan pada figure pasangan dan teman pada mahasiswa tingkat awal di universitas X kota Jakarta. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat di kembangkan Kembali dengan Teknik yang lebih akurat dan metode yang lebih efektif, Kata Kunci : penyesuain diri perguruan tinggi, adult-attachment, mahasiswa tingkat awal.
