Abstract

In the distribution of electrical energy in low voltage networks, one of the main equipment used is a 3 phase distribution transformer. This distribution transfer server to reduce the voltage so that the voltage can be used safely by consumers in low voltage networks such as household, street ligths, schools and other. The problem is that in the distribution of electrical energy it is often found that the distribution of uneven load on each phase. This unbalanced load distribution in caused by the unloading of the load time, the unbalanced connection between the load on phase R, S and T. The load distribution that is not balanced can result in the emergence of currents in the neutral wire, losses and the decrease in efficiency of the transformer the distribution. Based on the results of analysis and testing carried out in this study, the efficiency of the three transformer wa reduced but the impact wa not too large, where the lowest efficiency was 77.90% in the first transformer at night, while the highest efficiency was 94.12% in the transformer daytime. Keywords: 20 kV Transformer, Losses, Efficiency. Dalam penyaluran energi listrik pada jaringan tegangan rendah, salah satu peralatan utama yang digunakan adalah transformator distribusi 3 fasa. Transformator distribusi ini berfungsi untuk menurunkan tegangan sehingga tegangan tersebut dapat dipakai dengan aman oleh konsumen pada jaringan tegangan rendah seperti rumah tangga, lampu jalan, sekolah dan lain-lain. Permasalahannya adalah dalam penyaluran energi listrik sering kali dijumpai pembagian beban yang tidak merata pada setiap fasanya. Pembagian beban yang tidak seimbang ini disebabkan karena waktu penyalaan beban yang tidak serempak, pengkoneksian yang tidak seimbang antara beban pada fasa R, S dan T. Pembagian beban yang tidak seimbangan ini dapat mengakibatkan timbulnya arus pada kawat netral, rugi-rugi dan turunnya efisiensi transformator distribusi tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini, efisiensi dari ketiga transformator berkurang tetapi dampaknya tidak terlalu besar, dimana efisiensi terendah sebesar 77,90% pada transformator pertama di malam hari, sedangkan efisiensi tertinggi sebesar 94,12% pada transformator ketiga di siang hari.
