Abstract
Agriculture is one of the dominant economic systems that is managed in the wider community, which includes agriculture such as oil palm, coffee, and cocoa. And coffee is an agricultural product that is classified as high selling value in national marketing so that people are interested in growing coffee plants in various regions. However, many people do not know how to protect their coffee plants from diseases and pests, as well as to protect the quality of the coffee plants. Early handling of plant problems will have a good impact in the future for crop yields and farmers. Therefore we designed an information system regarding the cultivation, types, and types of coffee plant pests and monitors data on the development of coffee plants to facilitate the work of farmers in monitoring their development. This study uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with the stages of gathering requirements, making plans that must be implemented and analyzing software requirements. As a result of this research, this system is expected to increase time efficiency and facilitate problem solving. Suggestions from this research are expected to make the features more complex, for example the sale of coffee seeds and the addition of a barcode system for management. Keywords: RAD, plantation management, coffee, Android, information system Pertanian adalah salah satu sistem ekonomi yang dikelola secara dominan dimasyarakat luas, yang meliputi pertanian seperti kelapa sawit, kopi, dan kakao. Dan kopi merupakan hasil bumi yang tergolong bernilai jual tinggi dalam pemasaran nasional sehingga diminati para masyarakat untuk bercocok tanam tanaman kopi di berbagai wilayah. Namun banyak masyarakat yang tidak mengetahui cara untuk menjaga tanaman kopi yang ditanamnya dari penyakit dan hama, juga guna melindungi kualitas tanaman kopi tersebut. Penanganan dini dari permasalahan tumbuhan akan berdampak baik kedepannya untuk hasil tanaman maupun petani. Maka dari itu kami merancang sebuah sistem informasi mengenai budidaya, jenis, dan macam penyakit hama tanaman kopi serta memonitor data perkembangan tanaman kopi guna mempermudah pekerjaan para petani dalam memonitor perkembangannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) dengan tahapan-tahapan mengumpulkan kebutuhan, membuat rencana yang harus dilaksanakan dan menganalisis kebutuhan perangkat lunak. Sebagai hasil dari penelitian ini, sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan memudahkan pemecahan masalah. Saran dari penelitian ini diharapkan agar lebih membuat kompleks pada fiturnya contohnya penjualan bibit kopi dan penambahan sistem barcode untuk pengelolaanya.
