Abstract
This study aims to control the supply of liquid chemical Hexane HPLC in the R&D laboratory of PT SOHO Industri Pharmasi Industri to avoid stock outs or increase inventory costs for hexane HPLC supplies. This analysis uses the Economic Order Quantity method and the Kanban method where the results of the two methods will be compared and the best method selected. The sample of this research is HPLC hexane chemical, which is a class A liquid chemical that has the most priority based on the ABC classification. Data collection is done by collecting order data and stock out data from October 2020 to December 2021 as well as data on ordering costs and HPLC hexane storage costs. The results of this study indicate that the EOQ method is better than the kanban method where by using the EOQ method, the company can save inventory costs of Rp. 30 bottles. Keywords: inventory, EOQ, Kanban, ABC classification Penelitaian ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan persediaan bahan kimia cair Hexane HPLC di laboratorium R&D PT SOHO Industri Pharmasi Industri untuk menghindari terjadinya stock out maupun pelonjakkan cost inventory terhadap persedian hexane HPLC. Analisis ini menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity dan metode Kanban yang dimana hasil kedua metode tersebut akan dibandingkan dan dipilih metode terbaik. Sampel penelitian ini ialah bahan kimia hexane HPLC yang merupakan bahan kimia cair kelas A yang paling diprioritaskan keberadaanya berdasarkan klasifikasi ABC. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulakan data pemesanan dan data stock out dari bulan Oktober 2020 hingg Desember 2021 serta data biaya pemesanan dan biaya penyimpan hexane HPLC. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode EOQ lebih baik dibandingkan metode kanban dimana dengan menggunakan metode EOQ, perusahaan dapat menghemat biaya persediaan sebesar Rp8.791.134,- dengan jumlah pemesanan kuantitas yang optimal ialah 49 botol, safety stock sebesar 25 botol dan re-order point sebesar 30 botol.
