Abstract

In today's industrial era, Islamic boarding schools are not only a place to provide formal and informal Islamic education. Islamic boarding schools also have great potential in creating new entrepreneurs and growing small and medium industries (IKM). The government is intensively implementing the santripreneur program as one of the optimization efforts in providing job opportunities in the region or village. In order to support and prepare the santripreneur program, the right architectural approach is needed. The approach taken based on the natural potential of Kampung Bayur is to apply the agricultural industry. One of the architectural approaches that can support the agricultural industry of Islamic boarding schools is permaculture. Permaculture is an acronym for Permanent agriculture. Permaculture is an architectural approach that can be a solution by prioritizing the harmony between the design and the surrounding natural conditions technically and scientifically. Permanent agriculture means agriculture with a sustainable, continuous and permanent life order. Keywords: Islamic Boarding School, Architecture, Permaculture. Di era industri sekarang ini, pondok pesantren tidak hanya sebagai tempat untuk memberikan pendidikan islam secara formal maupun informal. Pondok Pesantren juga berpotensi besar dalam menciptakan wirausaha baru dan menumbuhkan industri kecil dan menengah (IKM). Pemerintah tengah gencar melaksanakan program santripreneur sebagai salah satu upaya pengoptimalan dalam penyediaan lapangan pekerjaan di daerah atau desa. Guna mendukung dan mempersiapkan program santripreneur, diperlukan pendekatan arsitektur yang tepat. Pendekatan yang diambil berdasarkan potensi alam kampung bayur adalah dengan menerapkan industri pertanian. Salah satu pendekatan arsitektur yang dapat mendukung industri pertanian pondok pesantren adalah permakultur. Permakultur merupakan singkatan dari Permanen agrikultur. Permakultur merupakan pendekatan arsitektur yang dapat memjadi solusi dengan mengutamakan keselarasan antara rancangan dengan kondisi alam sekitar secara teknis dan ilmiah. Permanen agrikultur artinya, pertanian dengan tatanan kehidupan yang lestari, terus menerus dan permanen. Kata Kunci: Pondok Pesantren, Arsitektur, Permakultur.
