Abstract

In the construction of a building there is a wrong security utilityone of them is a sprinkler installation system that is designed according to standardsfire protection prepared to prevent, extinguish andfighting fires in buildings. On system planningThis sprinkler aims to understand and do calculations onflow velocity and planning for water outagesfire fighting Anandamaya residences.The writer does the analysis and calculationby determining the discharge coefficient of the sprinkler k-factor on speedfluid flow, then using the pressure loss from Hazen-Williams andcarried out water needs with reference to the Bernoulli Principle, the authors callwith the Step by Step method. From the results of this calculation it is found that the relationshipbetween the speed of the flow in this automatic sprinkler with a pressure lossoccurs influenced by the area planned, the diameter of the pipe usedand pipe length. Where this planning refers to the applicable standardssuch as the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) which must be used in planning automatic sprinkler systems ona building. Keywords: sprinkler, fire fighting, discharge, coefficient, pressure loss, National Fire Protection Association Didalam pembangunan sebuah gedung terdapat suatu utilitas keamanan salah satunya adalah sistem instalasi sprinkler yang dirancang sesuai dengan standar proteksi kebakaran yang disiapkan untuk mencegah, memadamkan dan menanggulangi kebakaran dalam bangunan gedung. Pada perencanaan sistem sprinkler ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan melakukan perhitungan pada kecepatan aliran dan serta merencanakan kebutuhan air pada pemadaman fire fighting Gedung Anandamaya Residences. Penulis melakukan penganalisaan dan perhitungan dengan menentukan discharge coefficient of the sprinkler k-factor pada kecepatan aliran fluida, selanjutnya menggunakan presure loss dari Hazen-Williams dan dilakukan kebutuhan air dengan mengacu pada Azas Bernoulli, yang penulis sebut dengan metode Step by Step. Dari hasil perhitungan ini didapat bahwa hubungan antara kecepatan aliran pada sprinkler otomatis ini dengan pressure loss yang terjadi dipengaruhi oleh area yang direncanakan, diameter pipa yang digunakan serta panjang pipa. Dimana perencanaan ini mengacu pada standar yang berlaku seperti Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dan National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) yang harus dipakai dalam perencanaan sistem sprinkler otomatis pada sebuah gedung.
