Abstract
Graduates from Vocational Schools are expected to be ready to work as experts in their fields, and can open up extensive job opportunities, but in fact the uptake rate of graduates in the industrial world is still far from the expected number, the factor of availability of jobs is still inadequate in accordance with the number of graduates produced. Besides that, the quality factor of graduate competence is also the cause of graduates who have not got a job. This study aims to provide solutions to problems that occur in students of SMK Negeri 2 Tangerang Selatan City. The lack of facilities & infrastructure in the Multimedia expertise program and the lack of experience of the teachers both in theory and practice are factors in the problems that occur at SMKN 2 Tangsel. Therefore, with this Career Final Project, it is hoped that it can help and provide new insights and knowledge, both theory and practice in the Multimedia field with the theme of the activity "The Future Career Of Broadcaster". This activity uses a persuasive communication method approach. By carrying out workshops and production practices of educative and informative talkshow programs for 28 students of SMKN 2 Tangsel class XI Multimedia expertise program. Before carrying out the activity, the author collects data (pre-test) through survey and observation methods by asking questions related to participants' knowledge of broadcasting careers and the television industry, especially being a Floor Director. The result of the Final Project for Caring for the Country is by conducting workshops and production practices for talk show programs. Prior to this activity, 90% of the 28 students did not know about careers in the broadcasting and television industry. After carrying out the activity, the authors collected data (post-test) to the participants, the results were 97% of the students already understood the career of broadcasting and the television industry, especially in the production of talk show programs. This resulted in an output in the form of a talk show program entitled “Ne2talks” which was produced by the participants in this activity. Kata Kunci : SMKN 2 Tangsel, Career, Workshop. Lulusan dari SMK diharapkan mampu siap bekerja sebagai tenaga ahli dibidangnya, dan dapat membuka lapangan pekerjaan yang luas, namun pada kenyaataanya angka serapan lulusan di dunia industri masih jauh dari angka yang diharapkan, faktor ketersediaan lapangan pekerjaan yang masih belum memadai sesuai dengan jumlah lulusan yang dihasilkan, selain itu faktor kualitas kompetensi lulusan juga menjadi penyebab lulusan yang belum mendapat pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi atas permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa/i SMK Negeri 2 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Kurangnya sarana & prasarana pada program keahlian Multimedia serta masih kurangnya pengalaman para pengajar baik teori maupun praktik yang menjadi factor permasalahan yang terjadi pada SMKN 2 Tangsel. Oleh karena itu, dengan adanya kegiatan Tugas Akhir Peduli ini diharapkan dapat membantu serta memberikan wawasan dan ilmu pengetahuan baru, baik teori maupun praktik pada bidang Multimedia dengan tema kegiatan “The Future Career Of Broadcaster”. Pada kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan metode komunikasi persuasif. Dengan melaksanakan kegiatan workshop dan praktik produksi program talkshow yang bersifat edukatif dan informatif pada 28 siswa/i SMKN 2 Tangsel kelas XI program keahlian Multimedia. Sebelum melaksanakan kegiatan, penulis mengumpulkan data (pre-test) melalui metode survey dan obervasi dengan memberikan pertanyaan terkait pengetahuan peserta terhadap karir broadcasting serta industri pertelevisian khusunya menjadi seorang Floor Director. Hasil dari kegiatan Tugas Akhir Peduli Negeri ini dengan melakukan kegiatan workshop dan praktik produksi program acara talkshow, sebelum dilakukannya kegiatan ini 90% dari 28 siswa/i belum mengetahui karir bidang broadcasting dan industry pertelevisian. Setelah melakukan kegiatan, penulis mengumpulkan data (post-test) kepada peserta hasilnya 97% dari siswa/I sudah paham mengenai karis bidang broadcasting serta industry pertelevisian khususnya dalam produksi program acara talkshow. Sehingga menghasilkan output berupa program talkshow yang berjudul “Ne2talks” yang diproduksi sendiri oleh para peserta pada kegiatan ini. Kata Kunci : SMKN 2 Tangsel, Karir, Workshop
