Abstract
The Meaning of Work of Employee Pt. X Which Has Been Working since the Company First Operated And Is Still At Operator Level 1: A Phenomenological Study Siti Wahyuni Firman Alamsyah Ario Buntaran, S. Psi, M. A Faculty of Psychology, Mercu Buana University Abstract This research was conducted to find out how the meaning of the work of employees of PT. X, who has worked since the company started operating and is still at the operator level 1. In the lives of individuals, work is considered a relatively important thing compared to other things. Every change and challenge that occurs and arises during one's work will give meaning to the work. Employees of PT. X, who has been working since the company started operating, certainly has a meaningful understanding of the work that has been undertaken for more than 20 years. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were 3 people, where all three are employees of PT. X has been working since the company began operating and is still at operator level 1. From this study, all three subjects consider work as work, where work is considered a source of basic income and as a means to an end and when they do not have it, income will stop. X Yang Telah Bekerja Sejak Perusahaan Pertama Kali Beroperasi Dan Masih Berada Di Level Operator 1: Sebuah Penelitian Fenomenologis Siti Wahyuni Firman Alamsyah Ario Buntaran, S. Psi, M. A Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemaknaan kerja karyawan PT. X yang telah bekerja semenjak perusahaan mulai beroperasi dan masih berada di level operator 1. Dalam kehidupan individu, bekerja dianggap merupakan hal yang relatif penting dibadingkan dengan hal-hal lain. Setiap perubahan dan tantangan yang terjadi dan muncul selama seseorang bekerja akan memberikan makna terhadap pekerjaan tersebut. Karyawan PT. X yang telah bekerja sejak perusahaan tersebut mulai beroperasi sudah pasti memiliki pemaknaan tersediri terhadap pekerjaan yang telah dijalani selama lebih dari 20 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 3 orang, dimana ketiganya merupakan karyawan PT. X telah bekerja semenjak perusahaan mulai beroperasi dan masih berada di level operator 1. Dari penelitian ini, ketiga subjek menganggap pekerjaan sebagai pekerjaan (job), dimana pekerjaan dianggap sebagai sumber pendapatan pokok dan sebagai sebuah sarana untuk mencapai tujuan dan ketika tidak memilikinya, maka pendapatan akan berhenti. Kata kunci : fenomenologi, kualitatif, makna kerja, karyawan.
