Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL SUPPORT WITH BURNOUT IN GENERAL CRIMINAL RESERSE IN POLICE IN JAKARTA ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and burnout in general criminal investigators in the Jakarta Police. Respondents in this study were men and women who worked in the general criminal investigation unit in the Jakarta Police as many as 63 respondents. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling. The measuring instrument of this study on the burnout variable uses the MBI - GS (Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Survey) created by Maslach in 2016 with a total of 16 items, while the social support variable uses the Social Provision Scale (SPS) scale developed by Cutrona and Russell on 1987 with a total of 24 items. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between social support and burnout on general criminal investigators in Jakarta Police, meaning that the higher the social support the burnout owned will decrease as well as vice versa if social support is low, burnout will increase. Keywords: burnout, social support HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DENGAN BURNOUT PADA PENYIDIK RESERSE KRIMINAL UMUM DI KEPOLISIAN JAKARTA ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan burnout pada penyidik reserse kriminal umum di Kepolisian Jakarta. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah laki-laki dan perempuan yang bekerja di satuan reserse kriminal umum di Kepolisian Jakarta sebanyak 63 responden. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster sampling. Alat ukur penelitian ini pada variabel burnout menggunakan MBI - GS (Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Survey) yang diciptakan oleh Maslach pada tahun 2016 dengan total 16 item, sedangkan variabel dukungan sosial menggunakan skala Social Provision Scale (SPS) yang dikembangkan oleh Cutrona dan Russell pada tahun 1987 dengan total 24 item. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan burnout pada penyidik reserse kriminal umum di Kepolisan Jakarta, artinya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka burnout yang dimiliki akan semakin menurun begitu pula sebaliknya jika dukungan sosial rendah maka burnout akan meningkat.
