Abstract
Abstrak PT. ANI adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam industri manufaktur otomotif dengan konsentrasi pada komponen kontrol otomotif pada kendaraan. Salah satu produknya adalah fuel pump module. Permintaan yang variatif dari konsumen menyebabkan seringnya proses setup atau changeover dies dalam mengganti varian produk yang satu ke yang lainnya. Setup membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama yakni sekitar 99, 93 menit dalam setiap pergantian, lebih lama 46,7 % dari target yang ditentukan perusahaan. Langkah-langkah yang peneliti lakukan adalah dokumentasi aktifitas setup, mengukur waktu setup, memisahkan aktifitas internal dan aktifitas eksternal pada proses setup, mengkonversikan aktifitas internal yang berulang dan mempersingkat aktifitas internal dengan perbaikan. Penelitian dilakukan pada mesin JT220RAD injection molding dan berfokus pada tipe produk 860L Gasoline, 800 L Gasoline dan D87A Set Plate. Implementasi SMED menghasilkan penurunan waktu setup sebesar 37, 66 % dan menyederhanakan aktifitas yang semula 56 aktifitas menjadi 47 aktifitas. Kata Kunci : Fuel pump module, lean, dies, single minute exchange of die Abstract PT. ANI is a company engaged in the automotive manufacturing industry with a concentration on automotive control components in vehicle. One of its product is fuel pump module. Variable requests from customers cause setup or changeover process of dies in changing one product variant to another frequently. Setup takes quite a long time and its about 99, 93 minutes in each turn, is longer than 46,7% of the company’s target set. The steps that researcher do are documentation of setup activities, measuring setup time, separating internal activities and external activities on the setup process, converting repetitive internal activities and shortening internal activities with improvements. The research was conducted on JT220RAD injection molding machine and focused on types of product are 860L Gasoline, 800L Gasoline and D87A Set Plate. The SMED implementation resulted in a decrease of setup time by 37, 66% and simplified the activity of 56 activities into 47 activities.
