Abstract

SMK Yadika 4 is a private school which is located in Karang Tengah District, Tangerang City, Banten Province. At these schools the application of information technology has not yet been applied in the field of academic activities such as student attendance, notification of value information per semester and lesson schedules that still rely on paper media. Therefore, research was carried out by collecting data, identifying problems using the Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, Service (PIECES) method, developing systems using the Scrum method and designing systems using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) method. The final result of this research is the creation of an Academic Information System using Web technology, the Hypertext Processor (PHP) programming language and the Codeigniter framework which aims to help students and parents of students to find out information on grades, attendance and lesson schedules directly and to assist teachers in do attendance and notify the value per subject without going through paper media. Key words: Academic Information System, Codeigniter, PHP, PIECES, Scrum, SMK Yadika 4, UML, Web Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Yadika 4 merupakan sekolah swasta yang beralamat di Kecamatan Karang Tengah, Kota Tangerang, Provinsi Banten. Disekolah tersebut penerapan teknologi informasi masih belum diterapkan di bidang kegiatan akademik seperti absensi siswa, pemberitahuan informasi nilai per semester dan jadwal pelajaran yang masih mengandalkan media kertas. Maka dari itu dilakukanlah penelitian dengan cara mengumpulkan data, mengidentifikasi masalah dengan menggunakan metode Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, Service (PIECES), mengembangkan sistem dengan menggunakan metode Scrum dan merancang sistem dengan menggunakan metode Unified Modelling Language (UML). Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah dibuatnya Sistem Informasi Akademik dengan menggunakan teknologi Web, bahasa pemrograman Hypertext Processor (PHP) dan framework Codeigniter yang bertujuan untuk membantu siswa dan orang tua siswa agar dapat mengetahui informasi nilai, absensi dan jadwal pelajaran secara langsung tanpa melalui serta guru dalam melakukan absensi dan memberitahukan nilai per mata pelajaran tanpa melalui media kertas.
