Abstract
Phenomenology Study: The Meaning of Life of Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) Patients that underwent Regular Hemodialysis Therapy Ika Apriasty, ST Psychology Faculty of Mercu Buana University Jl. Raya Kranggan, Jati Sampurna No. 6, Bekasi ABSTRACT This study aims to determine and understand the experiences, feelings and the meaning of life of Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) patients undergoing regular hemodialysis (HD) therapy. The study participants consisted of 3 CKD patients who have been treated with regular hemodialysis therapy for more than 1 year. Data collection techniques in this study used semi-structured in-depth interview techniques. The interview transcripts were analyzed using the Description Phenomenological Analysis (DPA) approach. The flow of data analysis is the development of Giorgi’s version of Descriptive Phenomenology Research which is connected with the main ideas in Husserl’s phenomenology. There are 7 important themes found: (1) The description of the meaning of life of GGK patiens undergoing regular HD therapy, (2) The description of health and GGK experienced, (3) Reactions when experiencing GGK and HD therapy for the first time, (4) The description of anxiety and stress experienced, (5) The description of selfadjustment, (6) Support obtained and (7) Stress coping. The result of this study concludes that the meaning of life of CKD patiens undergoing regular hemodialysis was not influenced by the length of time patients GGK experienced and undergoing regular HD therapy but influenced by (1) the support obtained by patients, (2) The experience of patient’s self-acceptance of changes and (3) how the patients adjusts for his future. Studi Fenomenologi: Pemaknaan Hidup Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) yang Menjalani Terapi Hemodialisis Reguler Ika Apriasty, ST Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana Jl. Raya Kranggan, Jati Sampurna No. 6, Bekasi ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami pengalaman, perasaan serta pemaknaan hidup dari pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) yang menjalani terapi Hemodialisis (HD) Reguler. Partisipan penelitian terdiri atas 3 orang pasien GGK yang telah menjalani HD rutin lebih dari 1 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam semi terstruktur. Transkrip wawancara kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan Descriptive Phenomenological Analysis (DPA). Alur analisa data merupakan pengembangan dari Penelitian Fenomenologi Deskriptif versi Giorgi yang dihubungkan dengan gagasan-gagasan pokok dalam fenomenologi Husserl. Terdapat 7 tema penting yang ditemukan: (1) Gambaran pemaknaan hidup pasien GGK yang menjalani terapi HD reguler, (2) Gambaran kesehatan dan GGK yang dialami, (3) Reaksi saat mengalami GGK dan HD pertama kali, (4) Gambaran kecemasan dan stres yang dialami, (5) Gambaran penyesuaian diri, (6) Dukungan yang diperoleh dan (7) Koping stres. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan esensi bahwa pemaknaan hidup pasien GGK yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis reguler tidak dipengaruhi oleh lamanya waktu pasien mengalami GGK dan menjalani HD, dipengaruhi oleh (1) dukungan yang diperoleh pasien, (2) bagaimana penerimaan diri pasien terhadap perubahan yang dialami dan (3) bagaimana penyesuaian diri yang dilakukan pasien untuk menjalani masa depannya. Kata Kunci: Kualitatif, Fenomenologi, Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK), Hemodialisis Reguler
