Abstract
ABSTRAK Untuk memenuhi permintaan layanan internet yang terus meningkat, PT. Moratel berusaha menyediakan layanan internet yang stabil dari segi bandwidth dan berusaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan.Untuk memenuhi kestabilan internet dengan kualitas yang baik menggunakan teknologi Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS). Untuk pelanggan lama yang belum menggunakan MPLS (link existing), PT Moratel mengganti atau melakukan re-engineering dengan cara perubahan konfigurasi dan topologi jaringan. Peningkatan layanan diukur berdasarkan 5 parameter bandwidth, packet loss, throughput, delay dan jitter. Pengujian menggunakan software Wireshark. Re-engineering dilakukan di site Dirjen HAM. Nilai rata-rata bandwidth upload terjadi peningkatan sebesar 206 Mbps atau 24.23% dan nilai rata-rata bandwidth download juga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 403 Mbps atau 47.41%. Untuk nilai packet loss sesudah menggunakan MPLS terjadi penurunan rata-rata sebesar 5%. Semakin kecil nilai packet loss berarti data yang hilang semakin kecil. Dengan nilai rata-rata 0% ini merupakan nilai indeks yang sangat bagus dan ideal untuk pelanggan, karena tidak ada data yang hilang. Untuk nilai throughput menggunakan MPLS mengalami peningkatan yang baik untuk pelanggan, dimana nilai rata-rata kenaikan throughput sebesar 22.21 bps atau 22.21%. Nilai tersebut masuk kedalam indeks yang bagus, dimana semakin besar nilai throughput akan semakin baik dan ideal layanan internet untuk pelanggan. Nilai rata-rata delay terjadi penurunan setelah menggunakan MPLS sebesar 16.3 ms. Semakin kecil nilai delay maka semakin baik layanan internet. Nilai rata-rata jitter juga mengalami penurunan sebesar 18 ms setelah menggunakan MPLS. Nilai tersebut masuk kedalam indeks bagus, dimana semakin kecil nilai jitter maka semakin baik layanan internetnya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian terhadap ke lima parameter tersebut setelah menggunakan MPLS, layanan internet pada site Dirjen Ham menjadi lebih baik unjuk kerjanya. The average value of uploaded bandwidth increased by 206 Mbps or 24.23% and the average value of downloaded bandwidth also increased by 403 Mbps or 47.41%. For packet loss value when using MPLS, there is a decrease in value by 5%. The smaller the packet loss value, the greater the lost data the smaller. With an average value of 0% this is a very good index value and is ideal for customers, because there is no data missing. For the value of throughput using MPLS increases good acquisition for customers, where the average value of throughput increases by 22.21 bps or 22.21%. This value is included in a good index, where the greater the value of throughput, the better and ideal internet service for customers. The average delay value that occurs after using MPLS is 16.3 ms. The smaller the delay value, the better the internet service. The average value of jitter also decreased by 18 ms after using MPLS. The value is entered into a good index, where the smaller the value of jitter, the better the internet service. Based on the results of testing of the five parameters using MPLS, internet services on the Director General of Ham's website are better if not used.
