Abstract

ABSTRAK Sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang tambang batubara, PT. Bukit Asam membangun PLTU Banjarsari sebagai bentuk hilirisasi batubara dalam rangka meningkatkan efisiensi perusahaan. PLTU perlu dibangun dekat dengan sumber air karena kebutuhan air untuk operasional yang tinggi. Sebagian besar PLTU di Jawa dekat dengan supaya memudahkan pemenuhan kebutuhan air. Sedangkan PLTU Banjarsari menggunakan sumber air sungai. Penulis melakukan penelitian untuk melihat apakah PLTU dengan sumber pendingin air sungai dapat memenuhi kebutuhan air untuk unit kondensor. Parameter yang akan dinilai adalah efektivitas kondensor, yang menunjukkan seberapa besar tingkat keberhasilan kondensor dalam memenuhi fungsinya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil data pada kondensor, dan melakukan perhitungan menggunakan metode LMTD. Selain melihat performa kondensor, penulis juga akan membahas ketersediaan air sungai yang digunakan PLTU Banjarsari. Hasil dari perhitungan yang telah dilakukan didapatkan efektivitas kondensor selama bulan Januari berkisar antara 99,97%-96,70% dengan efektivitas rata rata 99.63%. Ketinggian air sungai berkisar antara 3384-5565mm. Ketinggian masih dalam taraf aman, karena jauh diatas 2000mm, yang merupakan ketinggian pipa intake Untuk penyimpanan air pada threated water basin fluktuatif dengan nilai 1421-4753 m3 . Meskipun fluktuatif, air pada threated water basin masih dalam batas aman. Sebab saat volume paling rendah masih dapat memfasilitasi pompa air umpan kondensor yang memiliki kapasitas 300m3 /jam. Bukit Asam built the Banjarsari power plant as a form of coal downstreaming in order to improve company efficiency. The power plant needs to be built close to the air source because it needs high operational water. Most of the power plants in Java are close to providing air. While the Banjarsari power plant uses river water sources. The author conducts research to see whether the PLTU with river water cooling sources can meet the air requirements for condenser units. The parameter to be approved is the condenser approval, which shows the responsibility for the condenser approval. The study was conducted by taking data on the condenser, and doing calculations using the LMTD method. In addition to seeing the performance of the condenser, the writer will also discuss about the river water used by the Banjarsari power plant. The results of the calculations that have been carried out obtained condenser during January between 99.97% -96.70% with an average benefit of 99.63%. River water level is between 3384- 5565mm. The height is still in a safe level, well above 2000mm, which is the height of the intake pipe. For storage of water in fluctuating threaded water pools with values of 1421- 4753 m3. Although fluctuating, the air in the pool of water is still within safe limits. Because when the lowest volume can still facilitate the condenser feed water pump which has a capacity of 300m3 / hour.
