Abstract

ABSTRAK Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) merupakan salah satu penerapan teknologi komunikasi nirkabel yang populer di zaman sekarang dimana penggunaan Wi-Fi digunakan untuk menghubungkan perangkat elektronik seperti komputer, Handphone maupun laptop ke jaringan internet untuk pertukaran informasi data. Antena mikrostrip patch triangular atau segitiga dengan teknik microstrip array yang bekerja pada frekuensi 2,4 GHz agar dapat digunakan pada aplikasi wireless LAN (WLAN). Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukan bahwa penggunaan patch triangular dapat meningkatkan bandwidth dan jumlah elemen patch dapat meningkatkan gain sehingga pengkombinasian antena mikrostrip triangular empat elemen dengan teknik array dapat meningkatkan gain dan bandwidth. Perancangan dilakukan menggunakan software Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) v13.0. Dari hasil uji realisasi (pengukuran) antena mikrostrip Triangular Array yang dirancang pada tugas akhir ini, didapatkan karakteristik nilai-nilai parameter dengan nilai return loss sebesar -18.6247 dB, VSWR 1.256, bandwidth 75 MHz dan gain 3.4 dBi, yang artinya antena mikrostrip yang dirancang dapat diterapkan untuk sistem WLAN pada frekuensi 2.4 GHz. Kata Kunci : Antena Mikrostrip Array, Triangular, Wi-Fi, ANSOFT ABSTRACT Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) is one of the most popular applications of wireless communication technology today where the use of Wi-Fi is used to connect electronic devices such as computers, cellphones or laptops to the internet to exchange data information. Triangular or triangular patch microstrip antenna with a microstrip array technique that works at a frequency of 2.4 GHz so that it can be used in wireless LAN (WLAN) applications. Previous research shows that the use of triangular patches can increase bandwidth and the number of patch elements can increase gain so that the combination of four-element triangular microstrip antennas with array techniques can increase gain and bandwidth. The design is done using Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) v13.0 software. From the results of the realization test (measurement) of the Triangular Array microstrip antenna designed in this final project, the characteristics of parameter values with return loss values of -18.6247 dB, VSWR 1.256, 75 MHz bandwidth and 3.4 dBi gain are obtained, which means that the microstrip antennas are designed can be applied to WLAN systems at a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
