Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and learning discipline in class XI IPS students at SMAN X Tangerang. Measuring instruments used in this study are measuring tools according to Sadirman for dimensionless learning motivation, persevering in facing assignments, resilient in facing difficulties, Daring to face problems, preferring to work independently, getting bored with routine tasks, being able to maintain their opinions, not easy to change things he believes, and likes to find and solve problems, and for measuring the discipline of learning the measuring tool used is a measuring tool according to Durkeim who has dimensions, complies with the rules of learning, and is able to control himself in learning. The population of this study was 118 students, and the study sample was taken using the nonprobability method by selecting the saturated sample technique. The data collection technique is done by questionnaire. The results of research on the relationship between learning motivation and student learning discipline the correlation coefficient of 0.656 with a significance of 0,000 (p <0.05) which can be interpreted that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning discipline, namely the higher motivation to learn, the higher also discipline, and vice versa, the lower the level of motivation to learn, the lower the discipline. Keywords: Learning motivation, Discipline Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan kedisiplinan belajar pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN X Tangerang. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur menurut sadirman untuk motivasi belajar yang berdimensi, tekun menghadapi tugas, ulet menghadapi kesulitan, Berani menghadapi masalah, lebih senang berkerja mandiri, cepat bosan terhadap tugas rutin, bisa mempertahankan pendapatnya, tidak mudah merubah hal yang diyakininya, serta senang mencari dan memecahkan soal, dan untuk alat ukur kedisiplinan belajar alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur menurut Durkeim yang memiliki dimensi, patuh dengan aturan belajar, dan mampu mengendalikan diri dalam belajar. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 118 siswa, dan sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan metode nonprobability dengan pemilihan teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan koesioner. Hasil penelitian tentang hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan kedisiplinan belajar siswa koefisien korelasinya sebesar 0,656 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p <0,05) yang dapat diartikan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kedisiplinan belajar, yaitu semakin tinggi motivasi untuk belajar, semakin tinggi juga kedisiplinan, dan sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat motivasi untuk belajar, semakin rendah kedisiplinan.
