Abstract

PT.Kadujaya Perkasa merupakan salah satu perusahaan kemasan plastik terbesar di Indonesia yang produksi nya berupa drum plastik, jerigen plastik dan botol plastik dalam menjalankan kegiatannya masih mengalami kendala tentang produktivitas penggunaan waktu dalam proses produksi dimana target overall efisiensi yang ditetapkan perusahaan belum tercapai. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode pendekatan Overall Equipment Effevtiveness ( OEE ) untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan waktu,metode Six Big Losses untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab tidak tecapainya target tesebut dan Fishbone (diagram tulang ikan) untuk mencari sumber masalah yang akan diperbaiki.Dari hasil pengolahan data dapat diketahui faktor-faktor penyebab tidak tercapainya overall efisiensi adalah performa mesin yang menurun karena perawatan yang kurang optimum, kebersihan material serta komposisi pencampuran yang tidak konsisten , tata cara penanganan produk yang belum dibakukan dan kemampuan antar personil tidak sama dalam meyelesaikan problem. Dari pembahasan peneliti menyarankan perusahaan untuk melakukan perhitungan nilai OEE setiap mesin sehigga didapat informasi yang valid tentang kinerja dari mesin tersebut,melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan mesin secara terus menerus (continous improvement) dalam upaya penigkatan effektivitas penggunaan mesin serta melakukan training atau pelatihan kepada karyawan agar mempunyai kemampuan yang sama dalam menyelesaikan problem yang dihadapai. Kata kunci: Optimalisasi waktu produksi, OEE, Six Big Losses, Fishbone. PT Kadujaya Perkasa is one of the largest manufacturers of plastic packaging in Indonesia, which manufacture plastic drum,jerrycan, and plastic bottle. In running their business, PT Kadujaya still experiencing difficulties in managing time usage effectively in production process for 2012. In this research, we use Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to determine the effectiveness of time usage. Six Big Losses method is used to determine factors that caused the company to miss its target. Fishbone diagram is used to find the roots of problems occurred. From the analysis of the data, we can determined the factors that caused the companies to miss its target, which are the decreasing performance of its machines due to lack of maintenance, inconsistencies in material mixtures, the cleanliness of the materials, lack of material handling standards, and uneven skills of the operators. From this research, we recommend the company to do OEE calculation of every machine to get a valid information for performance of the machine, maintenance and repair continuously (continuous improvement) in effort to increase effectiveness in machine utility and do training for the operators so that they can have a standardized skill in doing their job.
