Abstract

A good website user interface must be understandable and can direct users to get the information needed. User interface has basic principles and supporting elements to bolster the user interface, thus it can be comprehended properly by the user. HKBP Cengkareng is a church located on Jalan Gereja No. 1 (BGN) RT.01 / 03 Cengkareng, West Jakarta. HKBP Cengkareng wants to publish every event or program and rules in the HKBP through the website. The user interface on the HKBP Cengkareng website has already existed, but its use is still inefficient. Research on the user interface has been done before designing the user interface on the website. Based on the results of previous research on the design of user interfaces on static websites, the purpose of the user interface design is to make user interactions as simple and efficient as possible. This can be done by applying colors, layouts, visual elements and the basic principles of the user interface design that have an important role to guide the user and create special meaning in it. Therefore, the redesign of the HKBP Cengkareng website user interface aims to improve the quality of HKBP Cengkareng in providing services to the congregation and to facilitate the congregation in obtaining information about HKBP Cengkareng. User interface website yang baik harus dapat dimengerti dan mengarahkan pengguna untuk mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan. User interface mempunyai prinsip dasar dan elemen-elemen pendukung untuk menunjang user interface agar dapat dicerna dengan baik oleh user. HKBP Cengkareng merupakan rumah ibadah yang berlokasi di Jalan Gereja No. 1 (BGN) RT.01/03 Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat. HKBP Cengkareng ingin mempublikasikan setiap kegiatan ataupun tata tertib acara serta tata aturan dalam HKBP tersebut melalui website. User interface pada website HKBP Cengkareng sudah pernah ada, namun penggunaannya tidak efisien. Riset pada user interface sudah dilakukan sebelum melakukan perancangan user interface pada website. Berdasarkan hasil riset sebelumnya mengenai desain user interface pada website statis, tujuan dari design user interface adalah untuk membuat interaksi pengguna sederhana dan seefisien mungkin. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan warna, layout, unsur visual serta prinsip dasar user interface design yang memiliki peran penting memandu user dan menciptakan arti khusus di dalamnya. Oleh karena itu, redesign pada user interface website HKBP Cengkareng ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas HKBP Cengkareng dalam memberikan pelayanani kepada jemaat serta mempermudah jemaat dalam memperoleh informasi seputar HKBP Cengkareng.
